Hi all,

Planing to be at the Fort for a week or so in November (before thanksgiving) with our 23 foot trailer. Are there ever discounts on sites or should we just firm up a date and book now? We sort of prefer to leave things flexible where possible.

Thanks!
Andrea

(will be the first time - kids will be 4.5 and 6.5)

I got a measley 5% off for my ressies middle of April - whoopie. I really don't look for many, if any, unless the occupancy rate changes drastically. It would more likely be on the tent sites, if any, but you never know, so make your ressies and keep checking pixiedust: As more people start to economize more, they're going for the tent sites and Disney knows this :sad2:

Definitely go ahead and book your reservation now. If you are not sure of the exact dates, just make your reservation for the general timeframe and then modify it when you have firm dates. You can keep checking back for discounts and there are several that come available. We use AAA all the time and get as much as 20% off our reservation and they offer them for all levels of camping, not just the tent sites. Yes, they tend to not offer larger discounts during Easter/Spring break and during other holidays but don't let this sway you from trying to get a discount. I received 20% off my rate during last November so hopefully you will be able to get a discount for either AAA, AP, Room Only discount, General Public Discount or one of the many other discount venues.

Do i need to be a US citizen to get AAA? or can someone with AAA get me the discount?

Thanks from Canada!
Andrea

You would need to join the AAA's equivalent in Canada which is CAA. They treat the AAA/CAA the same. Disney periodically offers discounts for Canadian residents also but they don't have any available currently.

Well April is El Primo time wise and it will be nearly full at the Fort so you are fortunate to get even 5%. The slacker periods at the Fort (Value pricing times) can get you discounts of up to 20% when you book early.

I'm happy for any discount available.

PS - for the OP (Original Poster): make your ressie now. Most seasonal discounts are only through June for now. So make the ressie and if you hear of one becoming available for the Fort later on, you can always call back and have it applied to your current ressie.

We are going the same time frame. I'd also really encourage you to book now. I had to really play around with our dates for any availability and was only able to get a premium site but had a book a longer vacation and will need to cancel the dates later. For our initial plan of the week of Thanksgiving there was no availability. I learned here that they give preference to longer stays so we had to book nearly the whole month to get a reservation.
