Ever accidently caught a DISBOARDer in a pic?

Just curious if anybody accidently took a picture of a DISBOARDer (in their background), and didn't see it till after your trip? Lime green is a hard color to miss, after all! Post it if you have one!!

I just got a few lime green T's for Christmas! I'll be wearing lime green whenever possible in the parks!

Same for us on our Christmas trip...so many lime green (or pretty close to it) shirts, jackets...hard to know for sure if they were DISsers or not. I had my Home Depot Mickey head pinned to my minibackpack, but wasn't asked anything. One day I'd been talking with a mom and her daughter about something and when I exited the bus I heard the daughter say..."the DIS boards...", but by then the bus door was closing. I did meet a family while waiting in line for CP 12/24 who read the DIS all the time, but never posted...lurkers...they now post since they saw my photo from that night...YEAH!!

We got home on 12/19 and read on dis boards about a family that stayed at POFQ but had to cut their vacation short and had no pictures. So I offered to email them some of my pics of POFQ and it turned out I caught the poster's DH in one of my pics! Ha... small world indeed!

I saw myself in one of the pictures that another DIS'er posted on the boards. It was DH and I walking through the Disney cruise line terminal. A DIS'er posted it to show the Christmas decorations and there we were .

What's embarassing is the last trip to WDW I saw several people wearing lime green. I asked if they were a part of the Dis Board and they politely looked at me as if I just grew a second head. I then had to explain (so they would not think I was nuts) what the Dis Boad was.

I tried to keep it clear...I had a lime green bandana with my DISname on it (much to the chagrin of my DD17...she thinks we're all obsessed whackos, anyway!). I didn't wear it everyday, but even on the days I did, nobody approached me. I guess there's just too much to look at when you're at the parks, to notice the green.

wow - hope it wasn't my pic. if so, i'm sorry. can't well you how many times I have waited for the model ship to be w/o anyone looking at it at the terminal so that I could get a pic of the whole ship. sometimes it just can't be helped.

I always look at others DIS photos here to see if we are in them, isn't that a riot? I have feeling one day it will happen....

If you want to be "recognized" as a DIS-er, please do something other than "just wearing a lime green Tshirt". Tons and TONS of folks wear lime green because it is easy to see and keep track of each other in the crowd. If you want to be recognized, make sure to wear something that says DIS on it, or has some reference to it. A lime green Home Depot mickey head screams DISboards, as does a lime green ribbon--though it must not be worn as a hair ribbon unless it says DIS on it.

It's especially nice if it's something that can easily be seen from a distance, like walking by in a crowd. One of the best ones I saw was a big, loopy, currly mass of lime green ribbon hanging on someone's pin lanyard. I spotted her 25 yards away, and I knew there was no "fashion" reason to be wearing that ribbon, lol.

I have spotted members wearing official DIS merchandise--the lime green fanny pack on one, and last October I saw a whole family wearing official DISboards tshirts (grey ones, but with a large logo). Unfortunately the family was hustling in the opposite direction from me and I wasn't able to stop them before they disappeared. I tried to take a photo of them so I could post it here and see who it was! LOL Who was in Tomorrowland with a small group in grey DIS shirts last October? I also met someone wearing a Home Depot mickey head on her fannypack that trip while we were meeting characters in Toontown. Can't recall her name, but she said I was the only DIS person she had run into so far. Oh, and I never have anything lime green on since I don't carry a purse or pack, don't have a stroller or lanyard or anything to put it on. I see girls with lime green ribbons on their ponytails but I never ask them about it--I wouldn't assume lime green meant DISboards unless it said it on it.....because, yes, people look at you like you have two heads if they aren't DISers and you ask them about it. There is just no good, easy way to describe it without sounding like a big dork. "Oh, I thought you might be someone I don't know and never met that just might frequent the same website I do".

Much to my DH's chagrin, I insisted on wearing a lime green mickey pin on my backpack with "DISboards" on it - but I never had anyone ask me about it. I, too, was a bit shy about asking people wearing lime green if they were from DIS. I would have loved to meet someone else, though, just to prove to DH that ya'll really do exist!

I wear lime green home depot mickey's and only once did someone notice it. (Hi, Eyore {sp.}). I also put a huge lime green mickey made of bristol board on my hotel room window with my dis name on it. I mean, this thing was really huge. You could read it from 100 feet. You couldn't miss that one. No one said anything.

I put my cut out lime green Mickey head (from Home Depot)on my back pack with "Disboards.com" and my screen name on it during our trip in August and no one asked about it. The only other lime green Mickey I saw that week was a paint sample on the floor at the Princess Story Book breakfast. I'm hoping to see/meet some next week and on our May cruise.
