You have me and my hubby in your picture as well. He is in the shirt that says Green on the back in the baseball cap and you can just barely see my profile next to him.

LTT Oct 6th around 530ish :)

Yep that's us in your pic too.

Yes, and I didn't know it until I returned, posted my pics, and the Diser brought it to my attention! It was during the MVMCP parade, and I caught a Diser on the other side of the street in one of my parade photos! lol

which is nov 06 I have the perfect pin--

I was part of the Holiday Exchange on the community board and my exchange partner made my a pin of lime green with my DIS name on it!!!

Its just so perfect!!!

and if your reading this merriweather thanks again for all the wonderful things!!

I cant tell you enough how much I appreciate all the things you sent!!

funny that you should ask... While at WDW this last time, I saw a gentleman in the distance who I thought might have been Dan Murphy but only saw him once and didn't get a chance to ask... While looking through my pics, I found this gentleman, walking in Italy... I will have to post it and ask him... :)

On our last trip I saw a whole family ( of 5) in the tye dye Mickey shirts, they were eating dinner at Chef Mickey's. I wanted to ask if she was a DISer, but was to shy. I'll have to go through my pictures that night and see if you can see them in the background. :earboy2:

I asked a lady once at the airport when she was picking up her luggage that had lime green ribbon as an identifier on it if she was a DIS'er and she looked at me like I was crazy.

This past trip (12/1-5) I took my lime green mickey head from Home Depot and enlarged it on the scanner. I then used it as a template, traced it on some lime green poster board to make a large mickey head, and then laminated it. I used it for a dual purpose....(1) as a luggage tag and (2) to show that I was a DIS'er, but alas no one noticed me :sad1:. I guess next year I will just have to make a bigger Mickey head.

I wore lime green for a couple of days (see picture below!) and I also had a Home Depot Mickey paint sample tied on our backpack and on dd's waterbottle holder. We were never approached by a Dis'er, nor did I spot any. And this was in early August, when it was quite crowded.

After my trip in Dec 2004 I was looking through a thread regarding the Flag Retreat ceremony and saw me holding my son and my father-in-law in the background of LLIJ’s picture. It was kinda freaky.

I may put a couple of Home Depot lime green Mickey's on my bag/window in my hotel room when I go in May. Wonder if anyone will notice?

I don't have any pictures with DISers in them, but I did meet one at LTT and then a couple of days later saw a group , that I think were in MGM. They all had lime green shirts and the backs said "Dirty Dozen" with numbers on them.
Was there the last week of Oct.

I always look at others DIS photos here to see if we are in them, isn't that a riot? I have feeling one day it will happen....

If you want to be "recognized" as a DIS-er, please do something other than "just wearing a lime green Tshirt". Tons and TONS of folks wear lime green because it is easy to see and keep track of each other in the crowd. If you want to be recognized, make sure to wear something that says DIS on it, or has some reference to it. A lime green Home Depot mickey head screams DISboards, as does a lime green ribbon--though it must not be worn as a hair ribbon unless it says DIS on it.

It's especially nice if it's something that can easily be seen from a distance, like walking by in a crowd. One of the best ones I saw was a big, loopy, currly mass of lime green ribbon hanging on someone's pin lanyard. I spotted her 25 yards away, and I knew there was no "fashion" reason to be wearing that ribbon, lol.

I have spotted members wearing official DIS merchandise--the lime green fanny pack on one, and last October I saw a whole family wearing official DISboards tshirts (grey ones, but with a large logo). Unfortunately the family was hustling in the opposite direction from me and I wasn't able to stop them before they disappeared. I tried to take a photo of them so I could post it here and see who it was! LOL Who was in Tomorrowland with a small group in grey DIS shirts last October? :) I also met someone wearing a Home Depot mickey head on her fannypack that trip while we were meeting characters in Toontown. Can't recall her name, but she said I was the only DIS person she had run into so far. Oh, and I never have anything lime green on since I don't carry a purse or pack, don't have a stroller or lanyard or anything to put it on. I see girls with lime green ribbons on their ponytails but I never ask them about it--I wouldn't assume lime green meant DISboards unless it said it on it.....because, yes, people look at you like you have two heads if they aren't DISers and you ask them about it. There is just no good, easy way to describe it without sounding like a big dork. :rotfl: "Oh, I thought you might be someone I don't know and never met that just might frequent the same website I do".

Just curious as to what part of southern Illinois you might be from...we live in Herrin so I suppose a big "Howdy, neighbor" is in order!!!

...if any one spots us, please say "Hi"!! I'd love to meet ya! My youngest DS and I were at MNSSHP on Sept. 30th. We were outside the gate, where the hotel buses drop passengers off, in front of the big pumpkin and there was a group of three ladies taking their pictures with the pumpkin. As they walked off I thought I caught a glimpse of a lime green mickey head on one of their fanny packs, didn't catch 'em in my pic though. So, here's hopin' we meet someone this time. I'll have my mickey head hanging off my camera pack and I'm going to try to find something else lime green to wear.

I just found out tonight that I did get a picture of a DISer at WDW and I didn't know it at the time. The lady in the red sweatshirt is babar41. She sent me a PM a couple of weeks ago after seeing the photo of me, my DS, and DSis on the Segway tour. She and her DH were on that same tour and she thought she recognized me. She gave me permission to post this picture here and she was surprised to find out about it. I just wish we had realized we were both DISers while we were there. Next time we'll know babar41! ;) :flower:
