Will the events this weekend, Cheerleading, Faith in 3d and something else I can't remember right now make a big impact on the parks. I feel like I'm getting jipped out of a nice quite trip to Disney with all the stuff that was planned for this weekend. My family & I only just realized we could have gone 1/19 to 1/22 instead but it's too late now thanks to my cousins college schedule.

Well, there are two other events that may have an impact on the parks. It's MLK weekend, which means Sat. Sun and Mon may be a little busier than usual especially at MK. There's also a builders convention at the Orange County Convention Center that's expected to bring 100,000 in attendance. I doubt that will have too much impact on the parks.

BUT...it's January - one of the slowest months of the year. Just get an early start, hit the big rides first and there shouldn't be any worries!!

Most of the cheerleading stuff has been in MGM in the past, at least that we have seen. That park will tend to be full but the waits for rides weren't that bad because most of the groups were busy getting to different places to compete. The other parks haven't been bad crowd wise during that time in our experience.

So you're saying that not only will the Millionaire game be going on at MGM this weekend but the cheerleaders will be there too? Sounds like the park to avoid to me.
Plus, it says it may rain on Saturday.

Oh well, at least I'm at Disney.

They did cheerleading stuff at MGM when my sister was going about 6 years ago, but I thought they moved it all over to Wide World of Sports now. Am I wrong? :confused3

Thanks everyone, that's a relief. My boss went to the builders convention today and most people are going for that and leaving not parks too. Hopefully people will be busy with watching and not going on rides.
1 DAY TO GO!!!
