Hi Everyone!! I know there a few recent threads on photo shots but I would like to add this one because there seems so few postings of these types of pictures.

I am having a 5pm wedding and since most of my pictures with my DF will be taken after our ceremony (we are not seeing each other before then) I wanted to see what types of pictures we could do since it will dark.

Can some of you evening brides post your pictures??? Thank you so much!

DigitalLove and PrincessBride07 have some posted in the "favorite and unique shots" thread. They're amazing! Make sure you find a photographer with a great sense of lighting as it takes some skill to shoot at night and not wash people out or overuse the flash. And be prepared to hold a pose - you photographer will likely use longer shutter speeds to capture things. :)

Thanks Ember! We have Randy for our photographer so I am not worried about the washing out or overuse of flash but I didn't realize about the shutter speeds. Thanks for the tips! I saw thiers that's what prompted me to do this one. I didn't know if there were more out there. Hopefully there are!

Our only evening shots were at the dessert party. We used the Roots for photography:

What time of year are you getting married? We got married at 5p.m. in the beginning of December. We had about a good half an hour of light hours post ceremony for outdoor pics. I will tell you that you won't be able to go anywhere but the WP or you will lose the light.

How much do you talk to Randy? I will warn you he will push you pretty hard for the reveal. He also suggested that we book an hour of photography with him right after our MK photoshoot. It wasn't really an option, and we choose to do an additional hour after the DP. He tried to steer me away from this. He knew that we weren't going to do either of the previous suggestions, so he gave up on those suggestions and did what we wanted.

Here are a few of the pics that we had.
You can see we still had pretty good light.

We are getting married early December too! Dec 14th, 2009! Your pictures are so beautiful!! It is so good to hear that we will have some light. We haven't really talked to much with Randy about everything yet, just briefly after our e-pics. He suggested meeting before the ceremony for daytime pics but DF and I don't want that because we want to keep to tradition of DF not seeing me until I walk down the aisle. We are hoping to do a full meeting with him when we come for our planning session next May. We do want to stay at the WP for the pictures and we hoping to possibly do a few on the beach at the GF but that is not a definite as our e-pics were done on the beach at the Poly. I did ask Linda if he could do pics with us the next day during the daytime and she said it should be ok if there is no wedding but after having seen your photos I don't think we will need to do it. Thank you so much for sharing!!

We had about half an hour of light, and the sunset photos we managed to get our our favourites. We just compromised after that... Had some photos taken on the balcony in front of the GF, the monorail station and through the window of 'Basin' whilst we were browsing... and I absolutely love them all. I love the fact that aren't really the norm. We then went on the Grand 1 and had some great photos taken with the fireworks in the background.

randy suggested for us to do picts also before our 730 pm wedding but i swore i would not see him before ceremony, and beside I was having an evening ceremony so I wanted picts to remind us of when it was, I did picts by myself and with my moh starting at 5pm at wilderness lodge and it was plenty bright and hot. our night shots , especially the ones fr the reception at epcot were awesome!! Randy is a pro! awesome to work with!! it is plenty bright out at 5pm in florida trust me!!!! it doesn't start getting dark till about 6 pm!! DONT RUIN THE SURPRISE OF SEEING HIM FOR THE FIRST TIME WHEN THOSE DOORS OPEN TRUST ME ITS A LOOK I WILL NEVER FORGET, MY DH AGREES TOO HE SAID HE IS SO GLAD NOWW HE DID NOT SEE ME BEFORE WEDDING IT MADE IT SO SPECIAL!!!!

Thank you so much for letting me know. It is sounding like we should get about a half hour of light for pictures which is such a relief to me!

Oh that is so awesome!! DF and I really don't want to see each other before. I think that is the one thing that we are trying to keep the most traditional.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU everyone for all of your input on this topic. I feel much better about the timing and getting the pictures we want. :cloud9: You guys are the best! :worship:
