I'm headed to Disneyland on Saturday. I'm used to really warm and dry weather in Las Vegas and I plan to wear shorts and a tank top. I'll also tie a light jacket around my waist. Will this be enough for the evening time or does the weather get chilly at night?

I would definitely want pants and a hoodie/light jacket at night. The low for the next couple of nights in Anaheim is 59 degrees. That's definitely not "shorts weather" for me! Here in SoCal, I find that as soon as the sun goes down, the temperatures really drop.

Usually that low happens at 5AM and not 11PM though.

Unless it is unseasonably cool we are die hard shorts and tee-shirts from early mornings to midnight. If you are really susceptible to feeling cold then bring a hoodie around your waist. Or put it in a locker just in case. I can't see needing long pants though. Although it appears SJ has a different opinion! :)

Yes, I should disclose to the OP that I am a big sissy, so my cutoff is usually 80+ skirt/shorts/dress, 70+ tank top with long pants, 60+ pants and t-shirt, possibly long-sleeve if it's not sunny, 50+ is long pants, long shirt, and a jacket, 40+ is when I start breaking out the Under Armour tights and shirts beneath my aforementioned 50+ attire along with earwarmers and a scarf, and 30+ I basically need a parka. There were a few mornings at work last year where the low was 27 and I think I had four shirts on under my jacket and two pairs of long underwear on under my pants. I've lived more than half of my life in South Florida and Southern California, so I have a VERY low threshold for cold!

Hey, I lived in SD for 6 years and in SoCal altogether for 28. Whenever an SD person says anything about weather I just ignore it as unreliable...:rolleyes1

Depends on how late you plan to stay out. If you're going to be there 'til close and then stroll through DTD then you may feel a bit of a chill. However, if you are heading out around 11 or so then you should be fine with you describe.

Big caveat though is that every person is very much different. I cannot know what you will feel comfortable with. I wear shorts often. If I could get away with it at work, I would. A light jacket isn't a bad idea if a breeze picks up but my legs almost never get cold.

If you're going to stand and watch WOC, you'll definately want a jacket. Just the spray from the water will make it feel that much cooler.

Keep in mind too that the weather out here has been quite unpredictible. We've had some very nice evenings when the forecast called for cool and we've even had cooler weather when the forecast was for very hot (like over the July 4 weekend).

Advice. Bring a jacket. If you are worried about getting cold while wearing shorts, pick up a pair of zip-offs and wear the shorts during the day and zip the pant legs on for the evening.

Thank you all! I do get cold easily, especially if I'm not moving (fireworks, Fantasmic, WOC). I'm throwing a hoodie and a couple of pairs of capris into my suitcase. I like the locker idea! That way they're available if I need them and I don't have to go back to the hotel.
