I plan on sending my wife and 11 year old son to Cirque Du Soleil as a surprise. I'd like an activity for my five year old (he wouldn't tolerate/appreciate that show) for the same time period: weekday evening. He loves everything Disney but IS a boy.:wizard:
Thanks in Advance.:cool2:

Assuming that you will be with your little one during that time why not take him to a character meal like Chef Mickey's? Or while your wife and other son are at Cirque take him to either the Lego store to play and shop in the toy store in Downtown Disney. There is also a carousel and an ice cream shop that he would enjoy. That way you would be in the same general area and could meet up with the rest of the family. It's a pretty short show. I'm sure your youngest would just love to hang out with Dad one on one.

I actually think your son would be fine in the show. I took my 4 year old boy and he loved it. He was mesmerized, I think. He's very active and doesn't like to sit still for long, so I was worried. But he didn't move! He talked about the guys on the bicycles for months afterwards.
Anyway, I agree the Lego's place would be fun for him. Maybe go to eat at Rainforest and walk around Downtown Disney to wait for the show to be over. There's a little train ride there. He'll have a great time. By the time you do that, the show will be over.

I agree with Downtown Disney! Someone mentioned the Lego store already, and the evening we were there, there was also a kids' show going on - outside the main Disney store I think.

Or, if you're not already taking the boat to get there, the two of you could ride to the Port Orleans Resorts and back on the river.

Maybe you and he could go to Chef Mickey's or Ohana for dinner and catch the electric light water pageant or go over to Fort Wilderness for the campfire program. If we split up for show like that, DS would love to just stay in a park and ride the rides. He is all about the rides ;)

We did the campfire singalong with Chip & Dale at Fort WIlderness Campground and they show a movie afterwards. DS (4) loved it. We had dinner at Trails End before the campfire. More info available on the Camping Board.
