Hi everyone...I'm getting really excited for our family trip.(june).We have girls 12 and 14 and we are staying at HRH. The parks close at 7p but our goal is to head over to the parks early ,take an afternoon break/swim and go out for a few dinners. Do the restaurants at city walk have live music at the dinner hour or just late night? Looking for lively atmospheres...or something fun to do in the evenings.Suggestions appreciated!!

I'll be there in a week with my kids (15 & 17). We plan to do Blue Man Group one night and the movies (City Walk has a big cinema) another night. We'll most likely hit Downtown Disney one night too. There's also mini-golf out on I-Drive as well as Fun World (arcades/go karts).

I'm sure your kids will enjoy the atmosphere at CityWalk...the colors and vibe you get just walking around are not to be missed! Some of the restaurants have live music like Margaritaville, Pat O'Brien's, Red Coconut Club, Latin Quarter and Bob Marley. The may also like the groove which has teen nights on certain evenings. The AMC theater is beautiful with stadium seating, 20 screens and is a great place to watch a movie! If you wanted to venture to I-Drive, there are plenty of miniature golf courses and Fun Spot which has arcades, thrill rides and a multi-level go-kart track!

"Fun spot" is a dump.......the only time in Orlando in my 11 trips I felt a little unsafe (and I loved Wet and Wild and have stayed across the street from it, and I also have worked in a prison for 20 years). There is so much to do at Citiwalk and DTD, I wouldn't mess with the local tourist traps that you can probably find at home. Have a blast............

Wow thats harsh

We will be there near the end of June with teenage sons, 16 & 19, who haven't been since 2002. We plan on taking in the Blue Man group, pirate mini golf off site (they insist), Downtown Disney and Disney Quest and possibly a movie.

I need to check into these possible teen nights at the groove. They are both into music and may enjoy that.
