Evening Extra Magic Hours: Is it always 3 hours?

Just curious.

The kids noticed the planning video says "up to 3 hours later".

Was wondering in the January low-season, if it would be the full 3 hours?

Kim

I'm ALMOST 100% certain it is.

I too have never anything less than 3 hours--so that means when MK is open til 11 or 12 am. (President's week) it is open til 2 or 3 am!! I went last year & I was surprised how many people were there at 12 am w/ little ones ( I was solo that night-all my friends had left) But the crowds did get noticably less after 1 am. Have fun! Just to be CLEAR.

It is "always" THREE hours later than the posted time with the EVENING EMH.

But, it is "always" ONE hour earlier than the posted time with the MORNING EMH.

"Always" is in quotes because at WDW, anything like this MIGHT change.

I don't know what it will be like during the "low" season but it's been my experience that you can get more done during the 1 extra hour in the morning than the 3 hours in the evening. The evening hours tend to remain crowded. I did Epcot extra evening magic hours and the wait time for Soarin' was 70 min. It was only 45 min. about half hour before park closing. I then went to MK during the extra morning hour and walked on absolutely everything. Just my opinion.

Actually I have had the opposite reaction, tried the morning hours a few years ago in November (the week before Thanksgiving) at AK and it was crowded 10 mins after EMH started, we tried the late night at EPCOT last year in late January and walked onto everything.

Only question I have is I can't remember does the 3 hours start at 7PM (when future world closes) or 9PM at EPCOT? I honestly can't remember.

9pm, after illuminations... it is 3 hours after the posted park closing time.

We love evening EMH's! They may be a little crowded right when they start, but that last hour is always great!

We did EMH at the MK twice on our trip in Dec. On the 21st and on Christmas and early on it was crowded but as the night progressed it was nice. Kids were all excited because they went on Splash Mountain and BTMRR like three times each. The MK was open until 3am on Christmas (well techincally it would have been the 26th). I stayed with my oldest kids until around 130 I think. They wanted to stay until three but we were checking out in the morning. I thought it was nice at least in the sections of the park we were in.

When we were there in Oct it was 3hrs each emh eve! Loved it ~Kat
