Evening Extra magic hours at the Magic Kingdom

We will be going to WDW in December and do not want to attend MVMCP. As a result, we will only have two evenings to see Spectromagic and Wishes, and are considering going to MK on a Sunday night (December 3rd) for the parade, fireworks and extra magic hours.

In general, are Sunday nights at MK a madhouse? Does it make a difference that we will be there in early December?

Not sure how the time of year will affect it but we find that Saturdays are the busiest.

I was there last Sunday, stayed for SpectroMagic and then stayed for EMH. The crowds were not bad at all, we got on everything with no more than a 10 minute wait.
