Evening EMH crowd levels

We are having a quick short trip at the end of September. With the food and wine festival going on, we will be doing two days at Epcot and only one day at Magic Kingdom. That one day also has a Keys to the Kingdom tour booked. So it's not a long day at Magic Kingdom at all! Because of that, I looked for a day with EMH so we can get a couple extra hours there. How are the crowd levels and wait times like during the EMH time? I know EMH days are busier, just not sure if that extends into the actual extended time.

We have always had better luck with morning EMH at both MK and EP by getting there before rope drop.

Evening EMH I have seen nothing but long waits and big crowds. Food and Wine will clog Epcot all night.

I agree. Food & Wine ruins evening EMH at Epcot. Other times of the year, it's great...especially during the week.

Assuming you mean evening EMH at MK, and that's your only day at MK, I'd go for it. MK is going to be crowded on non-party nights no matter what, so if you can get a couple hours of EMH in as well, at least you'll have more time to do what you want. The lines will drop a little bit during that time, but it won't be walk on by any means.

If evening EMH begin at 12 or 1 AM you can expect lower crowds, especially in the second hour.

If EMH starts at 10pm you should expect 90 minute waits for the headliners.

I agree. Food & Wine ruins evening EMH at Epcot. Other times of the year, it's great...especially during the week.

F & W shouldn't have much effect on EPCOT EMH because they don't keep the F & W booths open during EMH. But a lot of people don't know that so they go to EPCOT thinking they will be able to get in a few extra hours of grazing around the world.

Yes evening EMH at Magic Kingdom. We only have 3 days for parks and one was a party night, one is my birthday and I'm sleeping in, which leaves us with the evening EMH day. I just wasn't sure how crowds will compare to a regular evening. Sounds like any other night really.

Starts at 9, it's an early closing night it seems! My hubby isn't a big thrill rider so we will likely just ride what's available with little wait and walk around. We have been at the park with extended hours back when the Fantasyland expansion was in preopening, that night was amazing with walk on no lines for so many. I wish it was one of those nights...then again we have the tour at 8 am and would probably be zonked by 10 anyways!
