We're going to WDW in 12 days. We know how to do the parks and we're going with a rookie family (Mom, her DD age 9 and DS age 8). They are perfectly content to let me plan the itinerary.
Our AK day happens to be an AK EMH night too. We're not too worried about the heat (that's part of why we love Florida), but I know AK can be unbearably hot sometimes. I was thinking of getting there before opening (around 8:45am) and doing as much as we can before 12:30-1pm...then coming back around 5:30 and staying for the first hour of the EMH (until around 8...afterwards part of our party wants to go shopping at DTD). I haven't heard the best reviews of evening EMHours, but, I'm wondering, if it might be better at this time of year because ALL the other parks are open late (spreading the crowd). So, it's not like AK will be the only park going past 7pm..and normally AK thins out considerably after 4pm.
What do you think? Do you think EMH night might be ok? OR..Am I better off plugging through the heat and then leaving for the day?
Thanks...
Jess
