Even with the hurricane we had a great halloween!

Unofficially they cancelled Halloween in Palm Beach County because of the hurricane and 47% of the city without power so it's dangerous. But we live in a wonderful gated in neighborhood that is nice a lit so Halloween went on an usual for us. We handed out over 8 HUGE bags of candy and had to close up shop. My kids got so much candy... I admit some people forgot it was Halloween because of the whole past week and the atmosphere seemed a little less lively as usual but hey, we just had a cat 2 hurricane hit us direct on a week ago... so all in all a great Halloween for my kids, i'm so relieved!

That's so great that you were still able to have Halloween. I can't imagine what you all have been through, and it's great that the kids could have a sense of normalcy for a few hours. I know in one of the towns here in NH that was absolutely devastated by floods earlier this month they canceled the outdoor trick or treating because it's too dangerous (lots of roads completely washed away, and now under reconstruction), but they put on trick or treat in the school, so the kids could get back to normal in some way.
I'm glad your kids were able to go trick or treating and had a good time. I'm sure they needed it.
