Even the Christmas commercials are depressing!

I love the Hobby Lobby commercial with the old couple playing matchmaker! I also like the new Coca Cola commercial with the dad trying to get his daughter's letter to Santa delivered. I chuckle when I see the commercial with Rebel Wilson in the lightup sweater. I've enjoyed the new commercials this year!

Those are great!

I haven't seen them because as much as I've been looking forward to new programming, I'm also not ready for story lines connected to Covid. I'm a little afraid to look and see if that's what they've all done.

I'm currently on Homeland season 6. Then I'm queuing up 9 seasons of 24. By the time I get to the new stuff on my DVR, maybe the pandemic will be over.

I have two holiday favorites that always make me smile. One is the classic Hershey’s Kisses handbell commercial. The other is the kid shaking the gifts in the Temptations cat snack commercial and the herd of cats chasing him down the street. That one cracks me up every time it comes on! I would rather see funny commercials than heartwarming ones this year.

This is the only Christmas commercial I care to see. My fellow western PA and probably eastern Ohio members will understand. Been seeing this commercial since I was 10 in 1982. It is on par with Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, Charlie Brown Christmas, Rudolf, and.... Die Hard and Lethal Weapon. It's not the holiday season until I've seen these all.

has anyone seen the target and publix commercials showing a group gathered together in celebration with no masks? Especially Target - last scene of ad shows adults all drinking, laughing celebrating new year's eve style. I only saw it once and never again - wondering if it was pulled due to comments/negative reaction.

I agree with earlier poster on the funny ones - especially the cats chasing the guy with the treats. We need HUMOR this season - and lots of it!!!

I don’t know what you watch but if you watch “Chicago Wednesday” do NOT watch Med. My DH came into the living room to find me sobbing. It was all COVID tragedy and no storyline. Fire, they were wearing masks and acknowledged it but that was it. PD, they had on Gators but didn’t really mention it. Because of Med I hesitated to watch Grey’s but they did a really good job. Their storylines while dealing with COVID. My friend said The Good Doctor upset her. She had COVID and is not easily shaken so maybe caution there. And if you watch none of these maybe it will help someone else.

On topic, I haven’t really seen many because I rarely watch anything live but as I was skipping commercials one made me rewind: John Travolta and Samual Jackson for Capital One Shopping. Travolta’s Santa kept asking if Jackson “is off the naughty words.” Made me giggle.

Med is the only one I watch. It's on my DVR right now. Thank you for the heads up. I'll leave it for an unspecified later date. Same with Good Doctor. Thank you!

I'll go ahead with Grey's on your analysis.

So far those are the only storylines I've seen. NCIS NO, NICS LA, SWAT Chicago Med , Chicago PD, Chicago Fire, Greys Anatomy, Station 19, The Good Dr, so far all have had covid storylines. If they keep this up, I will stop watching most of them. I have had enough covid to last me a lifetime, I want new shows to cheer me up, not depress me more!
