Headed to wdw in August. Our girls want do typhoon lagoon. My question is how evc friendly is it? Dh needs one for the other parks for medical reasons. he won’t partake in water slides but would the lazy river or wave pool. Mostly he just wants to be present for his girls but I want it to be enjoyable for him too. Thanks for any advice!

You'll want to stick to the paved pathways and avoid driving on the sand. Unfortunately I'm not sure there is much he can do with the ECV, depending on how much mobility he has. Is he able to get in/out of the lazy river? If he can park the ECV and walk to the wave pool that would work but he probably needs to be able to stand.

My DH and I would love to do some of the raft rides, however we do not have a disability. However we both depend on canes. Can we use the elevator option?

Never knew there were elevators! You will have to be able to ride the rafts without your canes, they will not be allowed on any of the water rides/slides.

I read that Scooters could use the elevator, so i would guess that they would be sent back down to the bottom of the ride? Hadn't a clue as to the elevators either! So I was wondering about the use of canes? It could be that it is for disabilities only, though. Not sure and thought I would ask if anyone knows....

Canes are a no-go on any rafts/slides, etc. for safety reasons. They could go flying and injure someone.

Yeah, that i figured out, lol. I guess I was thinking at first that the cane was one of those collapsable ones and it would be good. Ha ha. Guess I'm either trudging up the stairs or just enjoying the lazy river! :)
