Eurostar Train Times Changes

I was surprised that my friend (re earlier thread who hadn't been told) wasn't supplied with new tickets with altered times on! I'm not going til 4th jan, but will be ringing asking for my tickets with the new times to be reissued as am a bit fickel like that!!

I did actually ring and ask if it might be poss to change my direct return ticket to a morning non direct, leaving disney a day later as the arrival is hr later now.I just thought it would be a miserable journey with 2 children after a long day in the park. After she stated that my ticket was a non transferable (to which i pointed out that they had done just that since booking!!!), that they might be able to help me. We have since decided to come back in the eve directly and stay at the h.i in ashford instead of driving back to suffolk!!

Hi, looked at the threads a couple of months ago and thought I'd check the Eurostart website. It is fairly informative and yes if you are on the direct train to Disney it goes early and comes back late. I emailed eurostar to ask what seats we had as we had booked over the internet and they came back saying 2 of us were sitting together and one was across the aisle and on the way back 2 of us were again together and one was behind us. I emailed and asked if it was possible for us to sit together as it was my husbands birthday and they came back saying "no problem, all sorted and did I want the tickets sent out". I received the tickets and yes we are all sitting together in Coach 1 going and coach 18 coming back. The only thing that was wrong was that my husband is down as a child and my daughter as an adult. I phoned and they said that was fine as long as we had the right number of adults and children. We go on the 16th and haven't had an email but I would advise everyone to check the website as even the time on the tickets is wrong.

I asked for a new ticket with the new time as im going the 5th Jan and they said it wasnt nessarcy and gave me the new train times and said my ticket is valid for the changed train.

How bizarre. I called Eurostar today and the guy told me about the change in timetable but the seats will be the same. I asked him to confirm that and he said only times had changed nothing else.

Our seat have deffo changed - even the carriage has changed from 11 to 10.

The reason we double checked with Eurostar was that on our on-line itinerary, it was still showing the old departure time of 10.28 and this should have apparently automatically changed to the new time. As ours hadn't changed at all, we rang and that's when they said that ours hadn't been manually altered their end. As we were then given different seat numbers, they sent new tickets.

I will still take the old tickets when we check in, as I am petrified that we are not even going to get there!!

OK, I am officially FREAKING out!:scared1:

After reading this thread, I went to the Eurostar website, as we have not received an email about the change and we do go in less than two weeks (but I did know about the change thanks to this website and I have been checking the times). When I logged onto the website it doesn't even have our booking there anymore! (it was there about a month ago when I last checked). We booked in August (as we are from overseas we can book earlier than in the UK) and I do have the tickets, they were sent to me in the post, but with the old train time on them.

I have just tried to call Eurostar but the office is closed, so I will try later, just have to work out the time difference. But I hope we are not like DLPHerewecome and our booking was not manually changed.

This is all I will need, we leave for the UK on Tuesday from Australia for our week in London before we go to DLP and we have just had travel dramas as we were flying through Bangkok (1.5hr stop at the airport) and their airport is still closed :scared1: because of the protesters taking over the airport :scared1: , so we (and our travel agent) have been rushing to get onto new planes through Singapore, so I don't have to worry now about Bangkok airport still being closed or getting there and being stuck ), but now I'm worried about Eurostar.

As I do have the tickets already surely we still have a booking, even though the tickets say 8.53am, if they have printed and posted the tickets surely that booking wouldn't have been lost or cancelled or not changed. Fingers crossed for when I call them later :scared: .

I think im going to ring Eurostar now aswell and ask for new tickets so i know im not gonna get there and find someone else in my seat.

They didn't say anything about new tickets. The guy said we'd get on the train with the tickets we have... Must ring again and also ask about the strike.

This is making me:sick:

I have just called Eurostar as our booking was no longer online when I logged in and we still have tickets with the 8.53am time on them. But the guy on the phone said that our booking was still there but bookings only stay online for 60 days and as we booked 120 days in advance, the booking has gone from view online, but they still have the booking :cool1: and he said that we definately don't need new tickets. Our train number is still the same, our seat numbers are still the same, just the departure time has changed.

So, this panic is over for us with the train time change and missing booking, the flights through Bangkok are changed so we can get there to catch the Eurostar, just need to get the strike panic out of the way  and we are free to enjoy our month in Europe and the UK.

Thanks gemmybear83 for your reply.
I recieved my tickets yesterday all correct times. Just worried sick now about the possible strikes i go in 2 weeks. And this will be my first eurostar trip. Got my fingers crossed for everyone.

I come back 8th Jan. The lady wouldnt re-issue me new tickets and made me write the new seat number on my ticket. What a joke.

It really is a joke that they can't sort anything! I still wont believe it until I am sitting in my seat and on my way!

We were in Leisure Select and they do seem to have transferred us into Leisure Select again, but different coach number. We are also sat in 2 lots of 2 rather than a group of 4. Hopefully we still get the correct meals that we ordered on the original booking....!

Ho Hum :rolleyes1

I'm losing all faith in Eurostar now.

Least im sat by the luggage racks lol. means kyra can sit down while i fight with the suitcase :lmao:

No new tickets for us she said! She told me everything is the same, just the times have changed. We'll be still using the same seats and be able to check in with the original tickets!
