Hi Everyone,

I'm really hoping someone can help.... We are off next Tue (28th) Eurostar to DLP. We have to change trains at Lille. Has anyone out there done this?

My real question is - can someone please tell me which platform the Eurostar comes into and what platform I'll need to for the connection to DLP and will I make it in 10 minutes?

We were going to be fine, but with the restrictions to the tunnel my train is late getting in and I've never been before and starting to feel a little stressed about this bit.

Thanks everyone

Sue :scared:

Does this recent thread help at all?

Have a fantastic time, we'll be there for Halloween too! :thumbsup2

HI, Just to say that the platforms must move about as we had to get our train from the other side of the station, but that was in feb this year. Hopefully, the train will come in on your same platform, but would def check upstairs on the big board as. Remember that there will prob be a lot of people on your eurostar train doing the same thing, so there should always be someone who knows where they are going!!!Nice, clear directions within the station tho!

That would be a pain if you only had 10 minutes to spare, particularly if you have young children and lots of luggage, what happens if you miss it? Are you allowed to travel on the next available train, using the same ticket?

I think it might be worth asking the people at eurostar - they were the ones who did all our booking including the tgv. I'm sure someone told me that they are owned by the same company, so they may have more information about platforms etc.
The trains are pretty regular and when we were coming back from disney, someone else managed to change their tickets for our train as they had discovered that the later train they were booked on had been delayed and would get them to lille too late.Sure they are quite flexible.

I've spoken to Eurostar and they've moved us from the back of the train to the front so it should take us less time to run up the platform. And they've said that our tickets will be honoured if we miss it BUT its a 2 hour wait for the next one.... so we wouldn't get there until 4pm. And that just seems like such a waste of a day.

There's only me and DD (12) and 1 trolley-bag between us, and we're quite fit so I can see us legging it!! So if anyone sees a mad blonde looking a bit deranged - its me!

Apart from this little hiccup I am so excited I'm fit to burst :yay:

Thanks everyone for your advice I reallt appreciate it.

Sue

if there is a train waiting on the other platform just grab one of the standing attendants and ask them. they all speak perfect english and so will be able to help.

Just be up and ready by the door when you arrive so you can make a quick exit :o)

I did it and it was fine, they normally stop around the same platform but if it isn't there just go up the escalators to the cafe and look at the board for your train number and which platform it's at
