Hi everyone iv just booked the eurostar and have found that i can change my seats, at the moment we have 4 seats side by side but would rather sit opposite each other, does anyone have any recommendations on which carriage would be best on the way there and back :confused3

if you are all adults or adults and older kids, then I'd say any carriage except the last one, as thats the family carriage (and therefore has more potential to be noisy with tired/restless little ones).

If you think you might use the buffet cars, it might be an idea to try and get a carriage close to those (we didn't bother, we brought our own drinks and snacks onto the train with us).

Thanks for the reply we are 2A a 15yr old with learning disabilities and an 8yr old so maybe a family carriage would be good for us :):)

Sound like the first and last carriage would be ideal for you :)

The first and last carriages are uncomfortable. We made a mistake booking them on our last trip and the seats were those temporary fold down ones. They were slanted so it kept feeling like you were going to fall off them. The table is a tiny one too not a standard one.

I have 3 children and we always sit in the coach right before the buffet and there's always been families in there with us . Its a train to disney so its bound to be full of kids so I wouldn;t worry about upsetting people with the noise as if they dont' like kids they wouldn't be going to disney.

I would recommend you look for a table seat when you change your seats makes it easier for the kids to draw, play games with each other. The only downside to being on the coach next to the buffet is its very busy with people walk back and fourth from the other carriages.

thats strange - we were in the last carriage on the direct Eurostar from DLP to the UK earlier this month, the seats and table were the same standard ones that we'd had in a middle carriage on the way out? ie they didn't slant, they weren't fold-down, and the table was the standard 4-way fold tables?

When we was in the carriage it was split into two so there was a glass sliding door in the middle of the carriage. Well not quite in the middle, there was about 4 "tables" in our bit before the door. I'm not sure if the rest of this carriage was normal seating dh thinks so now I have asked him but I don't know.

Just looked online it was coach 1, at the far end of the carriage by the toilets and baby changing. On the train layout it shows which seats have the smaller tables, they were only for the window seat passengers. You can see the dividing line too, which is the glass door I mention. I am not sure about seats in the rest of the carriage but the quartered off bit I was in was definitely had pull down seats as me and the lady opposite were discussing how uncomfortable they were.
