I've been looking at all the small writing at the back of my brochure and was wondering about check in on board Eurostar.

Has anyone done this? As I'm going in January, I was hoping to get an upgrade to a Montana room at Sequoia Lodge but can you do this if you check in on the train?

I don't know about upgrading, but the biggest benefit to onboard check-in is that you can leave your luggage at the train station on arrival and it will be taken to your hotel. If you do not check in (or have the option to) on board then you will have to take your luggage to your hotel yourself.
Not entirely a mission impossible, but with the onboard option, its straight off the train and straight into the parks !! Woohoo !

Photos and an account of our Eurostar onboard check-in can be found in my trip report from June: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=839743 :) You do actually still have to do a shorter check-in process when you get to the hotel in the evening (you don't get your room key on the Eurostar - only your park/show tickets!) and that's where you get your breakfast cards and can request upgrades, at the reception desk.

Thanks guys!

If onboard check in is available I will be doing it then.:cool1:

The thought of arriving and not going straight to BTM is terrible! DD would not allow me to get past the gates I'm sure. I'm going to read your trippie again Bonnie, I knew I'd read about it in someone's report!

Ok so how does a trip on Eurostar work ?? (silly question I guess)

1) After check in are we still responsible for our luggage ?(Do we place luggage on , or do they ??)

2) Can we keep our pushchair with us until it's time to board the train ?(youngest son disablesd so will not be able to stand)

3)Assuming we're early we can use the Express check in at Ashford ?

4) What hppens on arrival at Eurodisney ? (luggage wise etc)

5) How long after arrival would we need to wait to get access to our pushchair ?

Wish I was flying now as I know how that works!

You take your luggage onboard the train at Ashford with you. CM's will come and see you during your journey to give you your park passes, luggage labels to be put on your cases before you hand them in at the Disney Express desk at Marne Le Vallee, and vouchers for any character meals you may have booked.

When you get to Marne Le Vallee you go upstairs to the Disney Express desk and hand over your luggage which will be transported to your hotel leaving you free to go and enjoy the parks.

On your last morning you hand your luggage in at the hotel and pick it up from the Disney Express desk at the station before you get on the train. It is usually very chaotic so I would recommend leaving yourself plenty of time as it can get very stressful!

You don't have to hand your pushchair in anywhere.

Hope that answers your questions,
Joanne

Alternatively you can keep ypour luggage with you and take it to your hotel and check - this is what we do as we like to get things sorted before we hit the parks - piece of mind and all that!
