Eurostar Issues and other traffic woes - 2/9/15

Latest situation with Eurostar - 02/09/15 - 9.30am French time

Eurostar services are expected to run normally, with cancellations to services 9008 and 9023.

Due to the situation in Calais during the evening of Tuesday 1st September, Trains 9053, 9054 were unable to complete their journeys. Train 9053 returned to Paris, and Train 9054 returned to London.

Today, Wednesday 2nd September, trains 9008 (07:55 from London to Paris) and 9023 (11:13 from Paris to London) have been cancelled


After Eurostar issues here is another that could affect you today and tomorrow if driving to/from DLP and Paris

The agricultural unions are organising a tractor protest in Paris tomorrow with the intention of bringing 1000's of tractors and agricultural vehicules into Paris from 6.00 am tomrrow morning - they will then head to Nation and stay there until they disperse normally around 5pm where they will cause chaos leaving Paris and heading back to where they came from.

All through the night and all day today they are coming from across France so traffic is/will be affected

So concerning. I really hope things calm down soon, someone is going to end up seriously injured or worse

We're waiting to book our method of transport until at least the New Year, ideally would like to do Dover-Calais but we may do Dover-Dunkirk or even Portsmouth-Caen.
