Hi all.

Keep reading that many of you very helpful people book Eurostar months and months in advance and yet I rang them the other day only to be told December tickets aren't on sale yet??? I thought you could only book 4 months ahead.

Which number should I use (I called the number given on the website)?

Thanks so much xxxxxx

:santa:

Some december dates are available online I booked the 5th and 9th december online a few weeks ago and they were avilable on the phone a few weeks before I booked. However I rang sevral times and different operators were giving me different dates (some said only october was avilable, another said upto december is).

I presume you are trying to book the direct Eurostar which is normally available 6 months in advance, the indirect service is 3 or 4 months ahead.

The tickets are released in blocks, they only show up online 6 months before but are available by phone as soon as the block is released. Our outbound train was available sometime before it would have been online as were the days up to the day before our return:scared1: I said I was worried that those seats might go before our return was released and they reserved seats with a table and power point for us. We had to wait ages for the return dates to be released - our dates span 2 calendar months which is where I think the problem lay. It does seem odd that they aren't available yet.

If you phone the number on the website they will phone you back when your dates are available (I didn't actually believe that they would indeed do this so I kept phoning back:rotfl2: but they were true to their word) all the staff I spoke to were brilliant and very patient when I was panicking:lmao:

Thanks lilacgems23 and catkin!

Yes, I'm trying to book the direct service (from Ebbsfleet). The first time I rang I was put on the call-back list, then similarly started to panic about the outbound train selling out or being really expensive by the time the return train tickets were available so I called again  and the lady told me about the block-release of tickets.

That's really reassuring about them actually calling you back. Thank you.

Just a case of waiting I guess...:rolleyes1

I agree they're very good about calling back and I believe they keep trying until they get hold of you. :thumbsup2 Hope you get all booked up soon - it makes the holiday feel more real!
