I am travelling to DLRP in November, and booked my tickets early. Thanks to a great post on these boards I now know that there are timetable changes due to the recent fires. My orginal journey was due to arrive at Lille at 12.24, but will now be arriving at 12.47. I need to change on to the TGV service due to leave at 12.57, but because of the changes, I now only have 10 minutes between arriving at Lille and leaving for DLRP! Can I ask anyone who has done this change, do I need to change platforms at Lille? If so, can I do it in 10 minutes?! Also, if I do miss the connection are the tickets still valid for the next train?
Thanks for any help you can give me!

Hi there and welcome!

We did exactly as you are doing, last Christmas, the following is pasted from my Trip Report

For some reason the transition through the tunnel seemed to take a long time, far longer than the usual 20 minutes. As a result of this we arrived with only about 10 minutes to spare for our transfer at Lille Europe. I wondered if we would make the train, and if our ticket would be honoured on a later train, but I needn’t have worried as the TGV was waiting right next to where we got off, we simply walked across the platform and got on!

I also remember the carriage we needed to be in was right opposite the one we got out of too!

Hope this helps?

Our train actually arrived in the same place where we got off! however they do move about. The departures board is just up the escalators by the cafe so you should be able to quickly run up and check where your train is if you need too. looking at the number ie 9057, you should be able to see easily what platform to go to.

If you see one opposite there are normally lots of attendants around that should be able to help you, there will no doubt be many others in the same posistion as you so you wouldn't be alone

Thanks guys, I was imagining a mad dash across the train station in a panic, but looks like it shouldn't be too bad.
Cheers!
