What will happen with WDW guests from Europe now that the President has announced the halt of flights into the US beginning this Friday?
How do you think this will impact the crowds at WDW?

Not all of Europe is affected - just the countries in the Schengen zone (the free movement of people zone in the European Union). Some countries (such as the UK and Ireland) won't be affected as they are not part of Schengen. But this is bound to have some effect on crowds, I would have thought.

I would guess that guests who are here now and were scheduled to go home after Friday, are currently scrambling to change their flights to today or tomorrow.
As far as moving forward, there'll definitely be less people, but, how much difference will there be? How large is the European international guest base right now, this time of year?

However, given the rumor announced on the other Covid thread, it may all be a non-issue soon.

Easter school holidays start 4th April here in Scotland, so probably not a massive contingent there at the moment, but it could affect numbers travelling in April. For families with children, we are really limited to the big school holidays for our visits.

Easter break is one of the most popular times for Europeans to go to WDW.

I don't know what proportion of WDW's guests are from Europe but it wouldn't surprise me if there is a drop in numbers.

That's if the parks even remain open.

Flights will be cancelled at the discretion of the airlines based on demand. If you are from one of the affected countries, you do not have to leave immediately. You just may have flight changes.

I tried to call today to apply a code to my package but there is a 90 minute wait. Not sure how normal that is but I think there may be a lot of cancellations today!
