What could be the worst thing that could happen right before your trip? Lets see, I didnt panic about the hurricane, or my friends surgery scare, and I lived thru my illness. So what is left?

Hmmm, do you remember when I told you about the ex husband in the first part of this trip report? Enter the dreaded ex husband. He knows we are going on vacation but he doesnt know where yet. The girls told him it was a surprise. They are scared hell get mad at them. Nice. So since the vacation falls on his weekend, which he never can keep up with or doesnt care to keep up with, he has asked to come and get them this weekend. Right before our trip. I am not looking forward to this. He brought them back sunburned last time. Plus the fact that it usually takes me several days to get them unwound after they visit him. I am soooooo excited right now. He wants to take them swimming and I always have really bad thoughts on his taking them swimming. I dont even want to think about it right now. I guess I can look forward to taking lobsters to Disneyworld with me. I packed sunscreen for them for the trip, but it wont help if they come back pre burned.
I know a lot of you are thinking, why not just send sunscreen with them to their dads? I do. I also send new bathing suits for them to leave there when they visit. He refuses to buy them anything. Unless its something I expressly forbid them to have
He feeds them pop tarts breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So, no pop tarts for us on this trip. If they stay long enough he takes them out for pizza. If its just overnite he lets them live on pop tarts. His girlfriend will even make herself food, but wont make any for them. I just thank God that its only for 2-3 days at a time. I make sure they eat before they leave and we feed them when they get home. I have even snuck food in their suitcases. Crackers, cheese, slim jims (my middle daughter loves these), peanut butter crackers, etc. Which I now know to call Nabs. (Maybe I just thought I lived in the South because I never heard them called that before
) Its all just to make sure they get fed something more substantial than a pop tart. I personally have nothing against pop tarts, but living on them for a day or two is just plain bad.
Enough ranting. I am ready to go. I finished t-shirts for the girls, bought last minute beauty items, and caught a great sale at the mall. Maybe Im not finished packing after all. I may have to rethink a few things. I found a cute Eeyore t-shirt which I might just have to wear on the day we do tea! Not to dressy, not to casual, well maybe a little casual but its dressy enough for Disney! Thats what I like about Disney World. They love you no matter what you wear.
Except in some of the nicer restaurants, they dont love you if you go sleeveless
..
They are nice about it though.
I was just thinking today how I was such a newbie the first time I went to WDW. I ate at the California Grill, managed to just walk up and get seated, with no ADR. I was then told by the waiter that you can actually see the fireworks from MK, when they have fireworks. Again, I didnt know that they only had fireworks on certain days in slow months like September. I was such a goof. I bought a guide book to WDW and read it from cover to cover before we went and I still didnt know half the things I probably needed to know. Thats what I love about the Disboards. You can find a lot of useful information on here without sorting through tons of useless information. Just by chatting you find out some of the strangest things. And thats strangely enough exactly what you needed to know. Unfortunately for me, I found the disboards after my first trip of trial and error. But I still gained a lot of information on things I didnt know. Well only 6 more days until we take off. This may be my last installment before we leave unless something interesting happens before we leave.
Im still a little loopy from being sick last week, so if I write something strange, just ignore it. Thank goodness for spell check! See yall soon
