We bought etickets from the Disney website and later found out that we can get in free through a relative of DH

So if we haven't used the tickets at all can we give/sell them to someone else? I know the tickets are "non-transferable", but I thought that meant you can't use one day and then give them to someone else for the remaining days.

I realize that the person getting them would have to know us well enough to know that we hadn't used them already because there is nothing on the ticket to say if they are used or not.

Officially and legally, the answer would be no.

However, I don't think there would be any problem, legal, ethical or otherwise with giving them to others since you won't need them. It would be like purchasing tickets for a Birthday Present, something which has never been looked down upon.

However, please be aware of any expiration dates on your Disneyland Resort Theme Park Ticket.
