Ethernet @ BWV?

Anyone know if the Ethernet is still available and working at BWV? We will be there on Friday and the updates on wi-fi are making me want to use my travel router. Thanks in advanced for your feedback!

It was still there in October. But the wireless also worked great.

Was at the BWV last week.

Wireless was a bit slow and kept dropping out on each of our devices. Plugged my portable router in and the speeds were terrific, both up and down (was dropbox-ing and netflix-ing fine) compared to the wireless. I plugged the router into the Cisco box behind the phone stand thingy.

In December the old hard wired connection at BWV was really slow. According to the internet Tech, the connection is no longer supported and could be disconnected at anytime. Some resorts have removed the supplied cord so you may want to bring your own.

we did not have the cord in our room at Christmas. Wifi worked great!

Thanks for all of the feedback. I'm hoping we can connect to the old wired system, but we'll give the wifi a try. I'll let you all know what my experience is. We will be spending the second half the week at the Grand Floridian, so I'll see how their internet is working as well.

OK . . . so the wireless stinks! I just plugged in my Trendnet, and it is working like a charm. They need to fix this!!!

It would be great if, after you get home, you could shoot an email to Member Satisfaction about the wifi issues at BWV. They need to keep hearing about this so it will get fixed. When I talked to them in January they said they were aware of the problem but it doesn't seem to have improved. Pathetic.

I will try to do that. For now, I am glad I brought the travel router and found the ethernet connections! It's pretty sad that Motel 8 can do wifi better that Disney

No kidding. I was so happy that I had brought along my travel router in January, just in case. I'll be packing it again for our upcoming trip, along with an ethernet cable. Don't know if ethernet is even still available at OKW and hopefully I won't even need it. How can Disney do such an amazing job with the intricacies of designing attractions and goof up a basic thing like wifi?
