I always swore I would never put any theme park type decorations in my house after my kids grew out of the toddler stage, but.....

some of this stuff is really nice. (and expensive)

Ethan Allen is ridiculous on everything, not just the Disney stuff. My son and his significant other just spent a few grand on bookshelves. Bookshelves! They could have had beautiful custom made ones for the price they paid.

A friend shared this on Facebook. I heard the full collection is currently available to D23 members and will soon be available to the public. Not cheap but some cute stuff!

ETA: sorry, wasn't trying to be redundant. I did a search for this topic and nothing came up so I started a thread. Then the two threads were merged.

Anyway, some of this stuff looks really cute and I think this is just a sample so there's more to be unveiled next month!

I love that chair, but not the price.

Fifteen hundred smackers for a chair. My word. And the sad thing is, it doesn't look like a quality product. There isn't even any work of any real substance on the legs or anything.

Man. It's $700 for a chair barely above folding chair quality.

$200 for a mere pillow.

Those looked cute and all but I think I'll have to agree with you and pass. I'll send my kid to college instead.

Man, I love those night tables but not happening at that price. They had a Walt Disney collection about 10 years ago that was really nice office furniture and it was ridiculously expensive also.

I love Disney stuff, but I didn't even click after reading the prices upthread!

Nope, not at Ethan Allen prices! We had an occasional table that was from my MIL's house after she died. It cracked right in the middle of the top. Their quality is not up to their prices!! They're going on an old name only.

....heck, I'd rather spend it on a WDW vacay......:teeth:

Daaaaaaang. The genuine polypropeline checkerboard rug is $700.

I half expected the checkers not to be included. But they're just felt.

I hear the government agency that paid $20,000 for a toilet seat and $50,000 for a hammer is buying a full set!!!

Anyone remember a store at Downtown Disney from about 20 years ago that carried this sort of thing? Not Ethan Allen, but high-priced "designer" type home furnishings. I think it was called something like Disney At Home. They had some really cool stuff, but it was very expensive.

Yes. Loved that store. That furniture was by Lane. We had the wingback chairs and still have a dining set.

The trouble with upholstered pieces is that when the fabric gets worn you can't get it recovered. So it's got a shelf life. Better to put the money into a table or dresser.

I'd really like the drum lamp from Ethan Allen but I have no place to put it. I keep looking around my house hoping... lol
