Estimated crowd levels March 15 and 16

Possible last minute trip for Wed the 15th and Thursday the 16th. So excited!! What do you think the crowds will be like? A lot of the hotels right in front are already sold out.

We will be in the area, me, sister and our girls 9 and 11. My sister hates crowds and doesn't really like Disneyland (crazy right!!!) as much as the rest of us. So I don't want to take her if it's gonna be really crowded.

I have no idea of how accurate they are.
With the current weather California is experiencing, you might factor that in too.
If it looks like rain, the locals generally stay home.

It's going to be crowded. That's spring break for a lot of schools.

Also remember that Pirates reopens after a lengthy refurb on the 16th (50th anniversary is on the 18th). Not sure if that will have any bearing on crowd size but it may draw some of the diehards. For me, that would make going on the 16th a good idea, since you'll finally be able to catch the ride. Let us know what you decide .

I would expect big crowds.

I would still go... But I probably wouldn't take someone who hates crowds and doesn't really like Disneyland.

Honestly, I probably would NEVER take someone to Disneyland who hates crowds and doesn't really like Disneyland, because it's pretty much always crowded now...

It is also a spring break for a lot of phoenix area schools. Finally, actually click through on the hotels. I found that the only rooms still available were single king rooms. That is how I ended up at Great Wolf Lodge for the week. I started a thread about it last night.

Seconded. Park has been either crowded or very crowded for the past few years now. I wonder if when Star Wars Land opens if it'll help with crowds because guests will be spread out over a larger area... or will it simply attract more people so even if it does help to decrease crowd density, more people come. I guess time will tell.

Thanks everyone! We have been going to DLR every year for the past 9 years and I agree with the increase in crowd levels. But we still love it!! I think Star Wars Land is going to bring more crowds. I know we are super excited for it. So confused on what to do. Me and the girls want to go. Guess will leave it up to my sister. Me, DH and DD will be going again in late Sept., so not sure what to do now. Just can't imagine going to California without Disneyland. Maybe we should try Universal, we've never gone there before.

There is info here on opinions of visiting UHS.
My group feels it's a one-day park. If you've never been you might like it.
Especially if there are any Harry Potter fans among the group.
Look around the UHS website to see what they have to offer.

Being in SoCal and trying to decide what to do....... Such a problem... Time in either park will be fun.
