We're spending 2 nights north of San Diego on our trip in June. We've looked at hotel after hotel after hotel. After finally deciding on splurging for the Lodge at Torrey Pines, we ended up booking at GCH for five nights. The Lodge is now out of our price range and is in the same style, anyway. We're hitting Legoland while we're down there, and maybe the SD Zoo.
I'm really intrigued by the Estancia. I've gone through Trip Advisor but love to have more input. A lot of the other hotels in La Jolla just weren't what we wanted/booked/more expensive.
Is there a comparable place that you would recommend? We're trying to stay away from generic hotels - we like Hiltons, but we're trying to pick some place local.
