I Filled everything out for my application, went to pay for it and it came up with a problem and said close page and try again later? I went back in to view application and its saying the following:

The payment status could not be determined at this time. Please check back later for the payment status.
Your application is not complete and will not be processed by CBP until the processing fee has been paid. You must complete payment within 7 days.

Its not giving me an option to pay???

Also I thought i could pay as a group but coundnt see how to do this?

Can anyone advice on what to do, i have the rest of the familys etsas to do too.

We are also due to go away 18th Feb to 1st March, my husbands passport runs out on 4th April we are flying with Virgin Atlantic, will this be ok?

As u understand it when you travel to America you have to have 6 months remaining on your passport from your return date of travel. So I think your husband will need to get a new passport before travel.

As for the original post, I've never had this problem so cannot help. There has to be an option to pay somewhere on the website. If not, I would try looking for a phone number/helpline? Every time I've done mine and my wife's I've done them individually and paid instantly.

I have never heard of paying for a group. I do every ESTA one by one so never seen option for groups. Hope you can work it out.

Passport: The UK has an agreement with the US for our passports to be extended 6 months beyond the expiry date, they only need to be valid for your dates of travel. Info & links in this thread from a few days ago.

Worth knowing about the passports, Wayne. Think I'd always make sure I've got a new one anyway, that close to travel just for peace of mind.

Thank You

Just spoke to someone on virgin atlantic Chat and he stated the following:

Donna: Hi we are due to fly to florida usa feb 2013 but just noticed my husbands passport expires April 2013, will he need a new passport or will this be ok?
Dax: This will be fine!
Dax: As, long as the passport is valid for the duration of your stay. This will be fine.

Glad thats the case.

Think i am in the process of sorting out esta group thing now and its linking us all in to pay at once, again thanks for all your help.

If I was in the OP situation, plenty of time then I would renew myself, they will add on upto 9 months from an old passport onto a new one so you don't lose out by renewing early but if I was doing a last minute deal and realised I was close to expiry I certainly wouldn't lose sleep about it, just needs to be valid for travel dates.

I am shocked VA have given you the correct info, they usually say 6 months by chat or email, makes a change to get the correct info from them.:thumbsup2

I would get him another passport but stupid me have just done the estas and thinking about it probally will have to do him another and have to pay again, its only since checking them and putting in the details i noticed. It also saves us an extra cost before we go.

I know the estas will run out as soon as my husbands passport runs out but we are very unlikely to return within 2 years anyway.

Yes correct, you would need to buy new ESTA. If you are not going again within 2 years I would not renew myself in your situation.
