ESTA Help!!

we have just applied for our esta's for our California trip in 3 weeks on mine it say's 'AUTHORIZATION PENDING' what does this mean? any help would be much appreciatied

We had this when we applied en masse for our estas earlier in the year. THie first couple went through, but the last two had the "authorization pending' message. All cleared fine within a couple of days. I'm sure yours will be fine too.

This seems to be quite common and people have always re-posted to say authorisation has come through so I'm sure you will be fine. Just random 'spot checks' I think.

DH cleared right away last time I applied for ours but mine was pending around 24 hours later mine was approved.

Do they let you know by email or did you have to keep going on the website and checking?

I'm doing ours tonight but in 2009 they all went through straight away but I've been reading a lot lately about many showing pending approval so just wondered how you get to find out they get approved

We've had this too. Just log back onto the website the following day and It should show Authorised. They didn't email to say (unless this is something new this year)
