One of the things I didn't get to at all was the ESPN skybox. I know its a bar, with tv's playing sports, but is it worth seeing? How are the food and drinks? I know drinks would be an additional cost, but is the food an additional cost there? Do they even have food?

Is it just TV's and men talking about touchdowns, and other boy stuff, or is it a cool hang-out bar atmosphere. Keep in mind, we are 20 something girls, so the Promenade lounge is zzzz's for us usually.

Think we would like it? Any info about the food/atmosphere would be appreciated!! Thanks, you all ROCK!:smooth:

Hmm, I don't see it as much of a hang-out bar, actually! It's nice enough if you want to watch a sporting event but other than that it's usually EMPTY.

Go hang out in Rockin' Bar D or Wavebands in the evenings, that's where the action is. I like Sessions/Cadillac Lounge too but it's definitely sedate and not for the party crowd. ;)

I know they had snacks out like chips, hot dogs, etc. when I was there. Not sure if there is anything else to eat.

As for the bar, there are two parts. The first part you walk in has a long bar along the wall and then several small tables (maybe a dozen??). There are several tv's in this area. The second part features stadium style, raised seating facing a very large screen tv.

I never saw many people in the stadium seating - most people hung around the bar. Might be different if you go in on a Sunday afternoon during football season.

Thanks for the info... I take it I am not missing much? We will probably skip two of the shows (we can't play Mouseketeer) and were looking for a place to go before the evening stuff began, since we will be skipping a couple of shows. But I am sure we will find lots of things to do.

Thanks again.. these boards rock.. and Michelle, you are an excellent moderator! You deserve a free cruise for all the work you do!

LOL, thanks Disneygator, I'm always open for a free cruise! ;) :teeth:

For early evening fun you might just try the bars by the pool before the party starts in the nightclub area. :)

You won't be missing much. I was hyped for the skybox, but there just wasn't anybody there on our cruise at all. It made sense because they were only playing sporting events being broadcast by ABC...so if you are looking for a Sunday day game it wasn't there. That may have changed, but it sure hurt any move toward what could have been a nice place to watch a game.

the only thing i think of when i think of the ESPN is SMOKE....
admittedly i only went in there once but it was way more than enough.....i was sorry i didn't have oxygen with me for the minute it took to walk through.....
