I know this is silly, but I am wondering if my DH will be able to watch the Nascar race in the ESPN club. I know the race is on Fox (not a Disney company), but I didn't know if they show all sporting events. It is not a big deal if he can't. DH, DS (4-1/2), and I are soooo excited about this trip. The end of April is not coming fast enough for our first Disney cruise on the Magic!

Since ESPN lost the NASCAR contract to Fox I would say no. When we were on our cruise last May we were able to watch the truck race that was on ESPN in our room (and on the TV's outside the Walt Disney Theatre). While they would cover sports from other networks that are big (like the Super Bowl) I don't see them doing it on regular things like the NASCAR races.

We are experiencing a similar issue, but luckily the race we are missing is a road corse race, whic my DH doesn't mind missing. The other issue is that RMP Tonight comes on at 6:30 which will conflict with dinner. So I promise DH that we will do the internet thing for the week so he can visit his NASCAR sites.

We will also do the internet package for the same reason (and also my husband is a senior programmer analyst - so he is addicted to the computer :)

We are going to miss the Richmond race (our hometown - we sold our season tickets) because we will be disembarking that morning, and then heading to Wilderness Lodge for 6 days! He said that he could give it up for Disneyworld! What a life.

I admire you. We would have planned around Richmond (it's my favorite track).
We are doing the 6/22 7-day cruise, then getting off of the ship and spending 7 day at Daytona for the 400. So we will get our Disney Fix, then our NASCAR fix. Of course we will be at Michigan Race the week before our cruise. So I think we are getting plenty of NASCAR fix. Still not sure when I will get to pack for the cruise.

KimDisFan - you are so lucky! Michigan race, cruise, then a week at Daytona with another race! That seems like a dream vacation to me. I won't mention it to my husband...I can just see the wheels turning in his head! LOL! Well, it would be too late for us to change dates now, since we are sailing on April 27th. We can't wait. It is our first Disney cruise.

We love the Richmond race as well, but it is getting so expensive! Anyway, we will use our tickets for the fall race. I love the racing under the lights.

I hope you have a great trip. I am sooo jealous. Go Rusty! (He does well at Michigan and Richmond.) :0)

RellingTwin, now I am getting even more jealous! Maybe I should have re-thought this whole "missing the May Richmond race." You are very fortunate also. I hope you have a great trip!

joellen2 - You will love the Disney cruise, it is worth missing the Richmond Race. Just enjoy and NASCAR will be there when you get back.
