Hi!

DH and I are going to be trying to get a seat at ESPN on 11/28 to watch our Colts beat the Chargers......

My question is the game is at 8:15 on a Sunday evening - will we need to arrive early to be able to get a table?? Is ESPN usually crowded for the Sunday games?? If we need to arrive earlier than the game - how early should we get there??

Lastly - we want to stay for the whole game - so as long as we are spending money on drinks and appetizers/food and we tip really really well - is there a problem with us keeping a table for the duration of the game?? Or is that frowned upon??

I was thinking when we arrived we would just let our server know that we want to stay for the game but we will be purchasing food and drinks the entire time.........

thoughts??

TIA!!

ESPN is always crowded on Sunday afternoon for NFL games. However, as no east coast team is involved in the game, I expect tables will open up after the late afternoon games. I would suggest arriving at 7 PM, when the late games are ending. No problem keeping a table if you continue to order drinks/food during the game. Question is whether you want a table in main dining room that has the large big screen, or a table in the bar area. May have to wait in line for table in dining area.

GO COLTS!!

I have been to Kouzzina's for dinner on a Saturday night, when there was a line out the door at 6:30 pm; about thirty people in it.

It's in the evening and the national TV game, it will be busy. It's busy at night when nothing is going on. They will have a line by 6pm (not including the folks who are already there from the earlier games).

Note also that on busy Sunday's even if you get in, they have a minimum amount each patron must spend per hour. I haven't been to the one at boarwalk in a few years, but the ESPN Zone in Baltimore the price was $10 per hour, per person last fall. Not a biggie for my crew (Aps and drinks...), but if you have non-drinking spouses and kids...

If you get there early and sit at the bar you avoid this, but the fun is in the room with the giant TV for a big game.

I hope your Colts win that week. It'll help Peyton get over the beating my Pats will put on them this Sunday! Good Luck!

Even though you are a Pats fan - I will heed your advice ;)

Thanks for the info everyone - so we will plan on getting there early that day, the price per hour factor will be a non issue,........but....if for some reason it doesn't work out is there anywhere else on property you can catch the game, some food, and drinks?? I dont think I can handle sitting in our room alone and watching it.......:rotfl: If I am at Disney I need to be out and about!!

There are only 3 late games that afternoon, so I doubt you will have an issue getting into ESPN Club. But in Boardwalk area, you could also watch at Big River Grille. Not sure how late Crew's Cup and Martha's Vineyard stay open. The Wave at the CR has a nice bar too. (Watched the Wisconsin/Purdue game at ESPN Club a week ago, at a booth in the bar area, and never any mention of a minimum. There was a line to get into the dining room all afternoon.)

A couple years ago we went to ESPN to watch Pats vs Jets. Got in line about an hour early and waited............My son and his girlfriend gave up and went to room to watch. They told us it was gonna be easier for us to get a table for 2 than 4. Got in during the 2nd quarter.
We have watched Sunday nite games at POR and took a cab back to POP. Crews Cup at YC is a great place for food and drinks. Never been for a game tho.
We will be at WL in a few weeks and plan to watch the Sunday nite game in Territory Lounge.

Thanks for this post. My husband was wondering the same... I didn't think he'd have trouble being seated for Sunday afternoon game at ESPN, so I'm glad to hear this advice.

For football on Sat or Sun, there is usually a line of people waiting to get in when the doors open at 11:30 AM. Can be very crowded depending upon who is playing. Tried to get in at halftime of Packer/Bear game last December(1 PM start). Full to capacity. No one got in unless someone left, even for bar area. We ended up walking over to Cabana Bar at the Dolphin to watch. They have 4 TV's and the food is good.

I was there on October 3rd around 6:30 and we were first on line and were seated within a few minutes.
