Our Family of five (3 teens) are going to be at BWV when the Red Sox and Yankees play each other in April. We are big Red Sox fans. My DW and I even went to our local sports bar at 6am to watch the season opener from Japan! We want to have dinner at ESPN and watch the game. What time should we head over to get in line if the game starts at 7:05? :confused3

What day of the week? Weekends will be more crowded. You shouldn't need to be there more than an hour before gametime. ESPN has a pretty good turnover time. But you may wish to be there around 5:30 to avoid the dinner rush.

We are going Thur April 17th. I am already looking forward to BooYah Chili!

I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's a game early on in the season. If it were the playoffs or during a pennant drive, that would be different. I'd say 6:00 would be enough time. Then you can get seated and have your meal in front of you when the game starts.

We were at ESPN when the Yankees were playing the Detroit Tigers a few Augusts ago. Whenever the Tigers scored, or their pitcher strike out a Yankee, we'd cheer.

A lovely older couple sitting next to us asked if we were from Detroit, and we said, No - we're from Boston! They thought that was a riot.

It was all in good fun!

Anyway - you will not believe the size of the big screen that's sorta center stage!

Have fun! GO SOX!

Game starts at 7:05 and you are a Red Sox fan? I recommend you go at about 8:15! Go Yanks!!!:thumbsup2

We stayes at the BC last August during o series between Sox/NY. It was packed each night and during the day games!

If you want a seat in the bar where there are tv's at your table get there by 5:30/45 and savor that chilli!Just take your time and order your meal little by little (that is what we did-left a good tip for our server after because we were there so long!)

If you are going to eat in the dining room...between 6:00/30...you may have a wait but you can wait inside and there are tvs everywhere!

Go Sox!

We did ESPN for a Sox/Yankees game in August last year. We were staying at the Boardwalk and going back to our villa from Epcot. We were planning to get a hot dog or pizza on the Boardwalk but when we got to the ESPN we figured we'd check on a table. This was about 20 minutes after the game started. There were no tables in the restaurant and they would not estimate how long we would have to wait as people tend to "camp out" until the game is over. We went to the bar, and while DH ordered us each a beer and DD a soda, I wandered around and found some people who looked like they were finishing up eating in a booth. We "lurked" nearby until they got up then as soon as they did, we went and stood by the booth until the server came to clear the table and pick up the check. Had our own TV and the food was great! We stayed until the end of the game. It was the highlight of the trip for DD who is a huge Red Sox fan!
