Will they let you come in for lunch and watch an entire football game? I'd love to catch the Bills/Eagles football game in two weeks. Do they give you a hard time about staying for that long?

Just another Eagles fan, wondering the same thing. I heard they have wings, can anyone tell me how they are? We will be there Oct 1-9, so maybe we will see you there.

Wishing everyone a "magical" day!

As long as you keep drinking (beer preferable, as you're paying for each one) they don't pressure you to leave. They understand that most people are there for the game. And there are people who will leave after eating so that others can get seats, but I've been in there, standing room only to watch a game and I've never seen them usher anyone out.

As long as you are spending $$$$$$$$$ you can stay. We have been in many times to watch entire games. I don't know the "makeup" of your party - but you might consider a table in the bar area - just as option so you don't get uncomfortable.

Actually, it's just going to be me. I'm meeting friends in WDW, but this particular Sunday I'd really like to catch the game. I think they're going to be off doing the parks.

This past Sunday, my husband and I watched the Steelers/Chiefs on the big screen. We sat at our table for 4 hours watching the pre-game, participating in their running commentary prior to the game, as well as the entire game. We ate lunch, drank tea and had some dessert. The did have some chairs lined up against the wall so that more people could sit and watch.

Have a nice time and enjoy the game!

ALSO! I would advise getting there at least 30 minutes prior to kickoff! They do not take reservations and seating is in order of arrival. UNLESS you choose to sit in the bar. Then you walk right in.

Thanks, MommaPeel. That's great to know. Maybe I can convince my friends to join me for lunch then they can go whatever they want while I finish watching the game.

Last year I was making a solo visit and got to ESPN Club at noon. As I was walking up, I coould see the line was out the door. When I got closer, I found out Joe Montana was there doing an interview.

After he left, a lot of people cleared out too. I was able to get a table just at kickoff. I stayed till midway through the 3rd quarter. No pressure to leave.

It was fun watching a game there, but crazy, too. There were about 8 screens, each with a different game on, but sound for only one.

Imagine trying to watch a game on one screen and hearing a commentary from another. It was nuts! i can't wait to go back again this year.

GO EAGLES!!!
(I hope they get going soon)

Barb,

They have chairs set up along the back of the restaurant where you can sit and watch the game. We did just this a few years ago and it worked well. The waitresses came by to take drink orders too. We felt bad taking up a table ater we were done eating when there were so many others waiting to get in. Hope this helps!

Tek224........I would have loved to have been there that day! Were you able to see Joe Montana? That would be awesome!

I'd be happy just seeing Chris Berman! I love that guy!! ;)

I was so glad to see this thread, that I just had to register to post after being a "lurker" here for a few months!! I've set up child-care so me and DH can catch the Eagles-Redskins game on 10/5. I'll surprise him with the news at the last minute. Hopefully Phila. will kick it in gear before then!!!! Oh, and I am also a nova grad/fan!

Is the ESPN Club a better viewing spot than the All Sports Cafe? Is there any way to find out what games will be on?

~Thanks~

Hey, goeagles! My son played (well, he was on the team, didn't see much playing time though) for Villanova from 1998-2001! He was on the team with Brian Finneran and then with Brian Westbrook! :D

Hi Barb. I grad. in 1990, before your son would have been there. It is so exciting to hear Villanova mentioned during NFL games. There is a novafan that posts on these boards and I've seen reference to the Eagles as well. I'm glad I'm not the only one obsessed with both and Disney too :)

goeagles,

We are also from S. Jersey. Burlington County, you?

We will be at WDW Oct 2-9 and staying at POR.

Hi Tinderbelle739. Atlantic County area. We'll be there the same dates 10/2 -10/9 at the Polynesian. We're flying Spirit, are you? Early flight out, late flight home... have to get max. time for the $

goeagles,
we are driving to WDW this time. We are leaving on the 1st at 3am and staying in Santee, SC for the night. After our 8 day stay in the world we will be driving to TN for a family renuion for 3 days and then heading back to S. Jersey. ALOT of driving!:(

Last time we went in 2000 we did the same as you, leave early and come home late, we too felt we needed to squeeze in as much magic as possible.
