DD goes to Michigan State and is a huge sports fan. She would like to see the basketball game vs. Indiana on Sunday March 2nd. The game starts at 2:00. We will be at MK that day and she was thinking of taking the bus to Boardwalk and watching the game at the ESPN club. Last year we went over there for lunch on a Saturday in February and did not have to wait for a table. I'm wondering if the ESPN weekend thing will mean that it'll be a lot more crowded.

We were at BW during race week at Daytona, and the guys went into ESPN Club to watch the races (They actually went to the 500, on Sunday so I can't comment about that one- but for the other races...), there is so much room and so many TVs that it was not a problem to get a table and get the TV tuned to the races. Disney resort cable is limited, and this is the place to watch sporting events.

We went last year during college football season on a Sat afternoon to watch the Notre Dame game. It was crowded but doable. We didn't have to wait too long for a bar table and I think dining room seating was barely a wait. This was also during the Miami game so there were quite a few people there. Very fun place to be to watch your favorite team!
I would however see if there's a race that day as #2 poster said. It might be VERY crowded if a race if going on or about to begin.

I haven't personally been, but I am betting if it's ESPN Weekend, it's going to be mobbed, regardless of whatever else is going on.

You should be fine. ESPN the weekend is over at the studios. Make Sure you go to Bar and many TV's, because Dining room has 1 huge TV, and it is possible they may actually show an NBA Game or Nascar Race on that instead of the Michigan State game.:cheer2:

It shouldn't be a problem even in the restaurant area. Yes, there is one big screen TV but there are a lot of regular size TVs handing from the ceiling that she can watch. All she needs to do is tell the host that she would like that game on a TV near her table that she can watch. They are very accomodating about that. On one of our trips, a woman was intenting watching a College World Series game when all the other screens (including the big one) had other sports on it. It tuned just for her (and she was alone).

The NASCAR race on Sunday is a late one since it's in Las Vegas. Green flag is at 4:00. That could be on the big screen. But since the basketball game starts earlier, getting a table and a designated TV shouldn't be a problem.
