ESPN Club anyone?

We are struggling with our ADRs for the end of our upcoming trip in December.

DS and I just found the ESPN Club in our guide book, and we came to the DIS for more infromation....

1. Is it counter or table service on the dining plan?

2. True or False - You don't need ADRs.

3. Has anyone seen (or maybe done) a review on it? We would love to see some photos!!!

I am really trying to find something that suits him since he is a sports nut! We are spending another day doing the princess-thing, so i really wanted to do something special for him!!!

ANy thoughts?!?!?!

Love ESPN Club.

It is table service. They don't take ADRs first come first server. Be aware that on any type of games day the lines will be long. It is a decent atmosphere, with all the TVs and sporting events going on, but the food is absolutely horrible. Go for the experience, but not for the food.

We ate there while staying at the BC, walked right in and it was a relief to find somewhere to eat in the Boardwalk area without a ADR and very limited quick service choices to be had!!!

Service and food were fine, nothing fancy, sort of on par with say a Fridays or a Ruby Tuesday's at home. tons of TVs, fun lively place.

We walked over from MGM for lunch on our last trip. Seated right away (college football on) Had a couple of appetizers and drinks and it was all yummy and pretty reasonable.

We always make a point to go for every trip, the food and atmosphere is great.

As far as for the ESPN Menu check out allears under menus.
If you go on a Sunday, be early as fans are ready to watch the NFL games. The line will be out the door.

Its a great sports bar. Good fun and great atmosphere. I have always had a blast there, and plan on stopping in next week when I am on vacation.

A trip to WDW wouldn't be complete for my DH without a visit to ESPN Club. He loves the hot wings and I like their burgers!

I don't agree that the food is absolutely horrible, in fact, they have the BEST burger DH and I have ever had! The nachos are just okay, the rueben is really good and the chicken sandwich is too small for the bun. Get the burger, you won't be disappointed.

Went to the ESPN Club for the first time last year and thought it was great. While there are other restaurants I prefer (just better themed, less every-day food), this was definitely a great choice.

There was one evening we didn't have an ADR and this fit in perfectly because they do not accept reservations. If you get there early enough, you should get seated without a wait. If you try to get in around 6:30 or 7:00 I would imagine you would have some wait, but sitting out on the Boardwalk is fun on its own and definitely helps pass the time quickly.

My Husband happens to be a die-hard Philadelphia sports fan and we got seated right next to one of the (what seems like) 10000 TVs, and it was playing the Phillies game. What luck!

The food was good. Nothing you couldn't get at your local chain restaurant like Applebees or TGIFridays, but good none the less. We were a big group and ordered nachos and buffalo wings to split and then for entrees we ranged from burgers, to caesar salads, to the pulled pork sandwiches and everyone was happy with their selections.

For our 09 trip to WDW it will just be DH and I, and even though the atmosphere is more "Disney" at other places, I know he will be doing plenty of things he may not prefer to do because I would like to...so going to the ESPN Club is the least I could do in return. If you do decide to eat there, enjoy!

We were just there this weekend. Macho Nachos are excellent.
We shared a burger, wasn't the best, wasn't the worst, it worked for bar food.

No reservations, probably right, as you have to get in line when a sports event is going on, and are seated in that order.

Your hubby would probably like it. If he has a favorite team that is playing while you are on vacation..head to ESPN at least 1 1/2 hours ahead of time and get in line.
