Hi all,

We will be staying at the BWV's in about a week and would like to try both of these places. We've never been to either before and I believe they don't take reservations right?

So is there a good time to go so the wait isn't long and any other tips you might have? We'll be a party of 5 :)

Thanks!

Congrats -- it's a wonderful area in Disney to stay. Neither place accepts reservations. With Beaches & Cream, we have good luck getting in right at opening (ask there -- it's either 11:00 or 11:30). Also at odd times in the afternoon such as 2:00. If it's just ice cream you want, there are tables outside where you can sit and I think it's just the basic stuff you can order for take-out.

Espn Club is touch and go. If there is a baseball game, football game, etc., happening, then there can be a line to get in. Again, we tend to get there in early afternoon on a weekday with pretty good luck. If we want to go at night, then we try to get there before the 7:00 hour when baseball games begin (we normally go during the summer....). If there is a line, then we'll just walk down to Spoodles on the boardwalk and eat there, and then plan to stop by Espn Club later on at night for a snack.

Beaches and Cream does not take ADRs but we usually go around 130-2 and usually get in or its only a few minutes wait. They do have a take-out area but it's only ice cream. Definitely save room for a sundae!!!!

ESPN does take reservations, but I don't know if you can make them by phone or if you have to go in person. I've always just walked in and waited for a table. Ten minutes max. wait.

Okay, I just read an earlier post more throroughly that says ESPN does not accept reservations. But I recall there are two doors, and I was thinking was was for reservations and one not.

But it could be one was for bar seating only and the other for dining room.

Sorry for the confusion. I confused myself in the process! *LOL*

On our last trip we stayed at BW as well and walked over to Beaches N Cream, around 2'ish and only had a 5-10 min wait. Good Luck :wizard:

We were at the BWV in October during the World Series and ESPN had lines from before it opened!!
I have eaten there on past trips with a minimum wait, so it does depend on what is going on in the Sports world.
Also, when I was there in the past, if you were willing to sit at the bar area to eat, the wait was much shorter than if you wanted to sit in the restaurant area.
Good Luck, it is a fun place to be.

Thanks for the tips, we'll try to make it over during off times. I've always wanted to try these places and this is the first time we're staying in the area :) We'll be there 3/30 - 4/2, I wonder if that means the end of March madness will be going on?

The ESPN Club does not take reservations. There are two entrances right next to each other. One is for the restaurant side and one is for the bar side.

The best time to go during your trip is during the week between 2:00 and 4:00. Don't go during that time on the 30th (Sunday) because there is a NASCAR race on during that time.

We are usually there in March -during March Madness. ESPN can get crazy. The dining room is the part that has lines, and they will not rush anyone out if they are watching a game (as we have done). The bar tables are a little easier to get, as they are first come, first serve, but when it's crowded - you kind of have to walk around the bar looking for someone who might be leaving. In any case, I would just check a paper for the basketball schedule and avoid those times. We'll be there starting April 1st, and by then its down to the Final Four (I think the women's elite 8 may end the 1st). But when it gets down to just a few games, you'll have an easier time getting in (I think, anyway. We are usually the ones there for the games.) I think it may be better to go around 2 or 3.

Don't know about Beachs & Cream, but hope to get there this trip.

I guess on the 30th we'll have to try Beaches and Cream instead! Thanks for that tip!

I'm looking so forward to this trip, only a few more days :thumbsup2
