ESPN at Boardwalk question

Do they take reservations for dinner at ESPN at the boardwalk. Today was my 180 days out and I could not book for dinner only lunch.

And yes it is a must do because we will be traveling with our friends and they have a 13 year old boy.

I know I ate there last August and I did have a reservation, but I can't remember if it was lunch or dinner.

But to be honest, even with our reservation, when we went it was almost completely empty! So a reservation may not be necessary, unless there is a big sporting event going on.

You can reserve lunch on weekdays, and then weekends and dinnertimes (any) are walk-up only.

I've seen folks lined up on the Boardwalk waiting to be admitted to sit when there was a big game.
If you were booking ADR's today you are likely bumping into Baseball World Series games on week nights and NFL games on weekends. My ADR day is tomorrow and for our 8 night trip there are 4 baseball games and 2 NFL football games. DS already pointed this out to me
It could be very busy.
I am not certain, but I think they only take reservations for weekday lunches.

We went there twice in December 2016 - once for lunch and once for dinner - with no reservations. We went to watch some regular season basketball games and there were no big sporting events going on so we were seated very quickly. As long as you aren't going during a big playoff or championship game, you should be fine.
