I am looking for some new suggestions that are more family oriented

we have done Chef Mickey's
Crystal Palace
1900 Park Fare
Cindi's Castle
Princess Breakfast in Norway

Found things like LeCellier great for adult night but not as enjoyable for the kids.

Thanks in advance for the suggestions
Sandy

Here is a list of the restaurants that have been especially appealing to our DD.

1900 Park Faire-- loves the food and the characters
'Ohana-- great coconut races for the kids, and the food is good.
50's Prime Time Cafe-- loves seeing Mommy get in trouble for putting her arms on the table, and Daddy get in trouble for not removing his hat. The food is also wonderful, and the S'mores are to die for!
Mama Melrose-- she says it is the "best spaghetti anywhere".
San Angel Inn-- loves the fact that it feels like we are dining under the stars in the middle of the day, and loves the fact that she can watch the boat ride go by as she eats.; Also she LOVES Mexican food
Garden Grille--- fun characters and good food... (mom and dad likes it because it is on the quiet side for a character meal!)
Cape May Cafe-- dinner-- loves the buffet, the dessert bar, and the cool sandcastle sculptures, the merry go round horses and the fact that the tables are covered with white paper and crayons are provided for her artwork.

Our daughter likes the non character meals just as much as the character meals, so don't be afraid to take your kids. Really, all of the restaurants are "kid" friendly. The only ones I wouldn't feel our DD would like would be V&A's (of course), Citricos, Narcoosee's, Flying Fish, California Grille and Artist's Point.

Our two DDs (ages 9 & 11) always ask to go back to the following:

Teppanyaki (Epcot) - Japanese teppan restaurant similiar to Benihana's. The food is good but the chef's could use more razzle dazzle.
Sci-Fi Drive In (MGM) - If you stick with the burgers and shakes, which are excellent, this is a really fun place to eat. The kids sit in the front of the cars while mom and dad "make out" in the back seat.
Rain Forest Cafe (AK) - Less crowded than the Downtown Disney site but with all the "rainstorms".
Beaches & Cream (Beach Club Resort) - Old fashioned burger and shake shop. Good food, fair prices, and big portions. Save room for the "Kitchen Sink" sundae if you dare.

How about Liberty Tree Tavern in MK.

Our children were ages 10 months-6 during these visits (3 of them)

Scale of 1-5 Smilies (5 being the best)

Liberty Tavern :D :D :D :D :D

Chef Mickey's :D :D :D

Donald Breakfastsaurus :D :D :D :D

Brown Derby :D :D :D (Food was great but not much appeal for younger kiddies)

Cinderella's Castle :D :D :D :D :D Food great- castle cool

Hollywood & Vine :D (Didn't like this one)

Rose & Crown :D :D :D :D We find we love most restaurants with booths/benches- much easier to control children and they loved their fish and chips

Biergarten :D :D :D Kind of dark in here and mostly meats/potatoes kind of fare

Pinochio Haus (Tray food) :D :D :D :D Found it a great place to get a lunch in Magic Kingdom- the food was fine and a quick in/out kind of place

Hitting more this September- hope to update it!

We ate at Ohana yesterday at the Polynesian (breakfast) and it was a lot of fun. The servers and greeters call you "cousin" and they have kiddie parades around the restaraunt with the characters. Our characters were Mickey, Pluto, Chip, and Dale.

We are a family that consists of me (39 year old mom) and two DD (9 and 12). We really like the following restaurants for our family:

Chef Mickey's (dinner only, though)
Crystal Palace (lunch and dinner only)
1900 Park Faire
Trail's End
'Ohana
Boma (breakfast and dinner)
Mama Melrose
Princess Storybook Breakfast

We have never tried 50s Prime Time, though I have heard it's great for families. We DID NOT like and will NEVER return to Hollywood and Vine.

I'm not going to touch on Character meals--I think we all agree that these are particularly good for kids.

Kona Cafe--Excellent food and service at the Polynesian, great food for mom and dad, fun atmosphere and fast turnaround make for a good family place.

Whispering Canyon at WL--I haven't personally eaten here, but everything I ahve heard about it makes it sound like a perfect place for families.

50's Prime Time in MGM--a hoot of a place, the kids seem to like the old tv's.

Concourse Steakhouse--a good meal at a decent price. Service is efiicient, adn the kids will love seeing the monorails go by while they eat.

Cape May Cafe Clambake--Excellent food, fun atmosphere, fast service (it's a buffet)

Whispering Canyon is great for families. The food is OK (some people don't like it, ours was really good, but we didn't order the all you can eat BBQ and stuck with steak - there was lots of food and it was tasty - I didn't see a lot of vegetarian options - this is a MEAT restaurant.). They fed our three year old for free. They run the kids around the restaurant on ponies (stick horses) and the restaurant is so noisy that your three year old who didn't get a nap can go into full meltdown mode in the middle of the restaurant and not make a scene.

I would have to say:

Biergarten at Epcot (fun and family oriented....food is pretty good)

Whispering Canyon (We have been there 2 times and think the BBQ stuff is tasty.....fun things to do for the kids.)

Ohana (Good food and Lots of fun for kids. Coconut races etc)

Crystal Palace in MK (a character meal but a favorite of ours)

Hoop dee doo (Really fun for the kids and adults. Food was pretty good too!

Thanks everyone. Sounds like Whispering Canyon & Ohana will be top on our list for next time.
