Escape Weddings at The Yaucht Club Gazebo

Hi ladies, I know our wedding is ages away but there's nothing like advance planning

we're having an escape wedding, and have narrowed it down to 2 venues that we like the look of - the wedding pavillion and the yaucht club gazebo. I can see loads of info regarding the wedding pavillion and lots on the broadwalk but not much on the gazebo so was just wondering if anyone is or did get married here? what was it like? would you reccomend it? where did you have your champagne and cake reception? if it rained, where was the ceremony held?

I got married there this summer, it was really hot so we had the cake and champagne toast in a meeting room at the Beach Club. I LOVED the gazebo, it's gorgeous and secluded enough that I didn't feel like we had a too many looky loos hanging around. I have lots of pictures in my TR.

If it rains, the usual alternate location is one of the ballrooms.

We were supposed to get married at the Yacht Club Gazebo at the end of March but it rained. Our backup location was in one of the ballrooms at the Yacht Club Convention Center. Disney did such a great job that, if you hadn't known it was supposed to be outside, you never would have known!

hahaha that clip is fantastic!

i love the gazebo for the ceremony, but would rather have the cake and champagne indoors somewhere. not sure about doing that on the lawn. but its could i live with that to save the $1000 upgrade to the pavillion. hmmm will take some thinking and discussing with df.

Talk with your palnner about having the cake inside. They have to book a room inside for you anyway incase of rain, so they may be able to have it set up for you for the cake anyways. We had our cake cutting inside because of the heat, without asking (this was the only place we had random people walking through the wedding party they were going from the convention center to the hotel and rolled through with their bags)
