Hello everyone!

I recently finished contracting with Disney to be married at Sea Breeze Point on June 20, 2013. Yesterday I received my planning kit, and before bombarding my consultant with millions of question,s I thought I would ask you guys first. Hopefully someone has answers to all of my questions that are bound to arise. :)

First question, what does Sea Breeze Point look like "unenhanced"? As in, if I choose not to spend a minimum of $750 extra for decor, what will my venue look like? Any picture you have of SBP with just the standard decor would be great! Actually, I'd like to see any picture of SBP. I've never actually been, so for the time being I am living vicariously through pictures. :)

Next question, does the package come with 2 or 4 bottles of sparkling cider? I am really confused because I have received conflicting information from Disney. I'd be nice to know if I need to order more bottles or not.

Also, one more thing. I have seen the pictures provided by Disney of the cake options available, but would like to see "real-life" pictures. If anyone has pictures of their Escape cakes that would be fantastic!!

After reading these boards I realized that all of you are a wealth of information for all of my Disney related questions.

Thank you in advance!

Hello!

I'm going to put a little disclaimer, all the info I write is what I have been told from my planner. Information seems to vary depending on who you speak to. For example, everything I've read has said that we must meet an $8,000 minimum in order to hold a private event through DFTW, but we are hosting a private dessert party the evening of our wedding through DFTW and I have been told by my consultant and planner that we do not need to reach that minimum. It's also not mentioned in my contract.

With that being said, my fiancé and I are having an Escape wedding in April. We are getting married at the Wedding Pavilion so I'm not too much help with Sea Breeze Point. I do know that you do not have to do the set flower enhancements that are in the planning kit. Say you only want flower petals lining the aisle, you are able to do that. If you use the search function on here there are tons of pics. It's a beautiful location! I was torn between the WP and SBP.

In regards to the cider, as far as I know, for 2013 they have increased it to 4 bottles cider or 2 bottles of the Fairytale Cuvée. We will be getting the 2 bottles of Fairytale Cuvée and paying extra for one bottle of cider.

They have added a few more options to the cakes for 2013, which I'm super excited about. We will be going with the Lady Catherine cake. Some of the styles are the same as previous years so if you search through the cake thread you should find some pictures.

Hopefully this helps!

Welcome! You can see photos of Sea Breeze Point here: http://disneytravelbabble.com/disney-weddings/wdw-venue-photos/sea-breeze-point/

I have "real-life" photos of Escape cakes here, interspersed with Disney's photos. The real ones are shot against a green and white tile background: http://disneytravelbabble.com/disney-weddings/escape-cakes/

That is correct—the minimum now only applies if you have your ceremony on Saturday or Sunday. :thumbsup2

I haven't heard anything about an $8,000 minimum. Then again, I am having a week day ceremony with no Disney hosted reception. Maybe that is the difference.

Good to have some clarification about the bottles of cider! I was quite confused about that.

I have seen the cake options available, but am stuck between a two. I am hoping that seeing "real" pictures will help me out a bit.

Thank you for your input!!

I should add that the "real" cakes pictured do not include the 3 newer designs Disney introduced for 2013. So far none of those have appeared in the display at BoardWalk Bakery.

You are given some choices for flowers and cake? We are thinking of doing an escape wedding at the pavilion in fl. Do you do all your communication by email and phone?

I can only comment on SBP since I had a Wishes Wedding, but we got ZERO enhancements for the location (including using standard chairs) and I thought it was beautiful! Such a beautiful location with a great view that if you don't want to spend extra on flowers, no one notices! Great selection and good luck! You'll love it!

adeacon0, Yes all communication is via e-mail and telephone. However, so far, I have had a great experience getting in touch with my coordinator.

kkbutterfly, this is exactly the response I was hoping for. Do you by chance have a photo of what the location looked like?
