Escape wedding questions

I have a few questions about the escape wedding packages I was hoping some of you lovely ladies could answer for me. Firstly, if you wanted a reception meal afterwards how would you go about it, i.e. are the same places available as those in the wishes package and would it be the same prices? Is there a minimum to the amount of people you need for a wishes wedding as there will only be 8 including the bride and groom, but I would just love the extra choice.
Thanks

Officially the minimum number of people required to hold a Wishes wedding is 10, because it is so difficult to meet the minimum expenditure requirement ($10,000 in 2009 and $12,000 in 2010) and the room-night requirements with fewer people than that. However, it has been done, and if you are willing to pay for one, I'm sure Disney would be happy to work with you. :goodvibes

The trickiest part would be if your reception venue has a minimum food and beverage requirement. For example, the Attic requires you to spend $2,500 on food and beverage (including alcohol but not cake), so you would need to find a way to spend $312.50 per person there.

If you decide to stick with an Escape event, you will be glad to know that Disney has been making it much easier for Escape couples to plan a private meal after the ceremony, and many of the same venues used for Wishes events are open to Escape events (at the same prices). :thumbsup2

Thanks for your help lurckyloo, I fell in love with the attic from the pics in your pj but didn't realise the minimum was that high. There are plenty of other lovely places though.
One more question I forgot. Are Dessert Parties only for wishes brides or can escape brides have them as well?

Lots of escape brides plan book receptions at restaurants, but depending on the time of your wedding and your timeline, your planner can also help you book a room at a location like boardwalk convention center (like St. James Room)

I love the Attic too! You know, the minimum is $2,000 Sunday-Thursday for events ending before 5pm, so that would "only" be $250 you'd have to spend per guest... but that's still a lot, huh? The minimum at Ariel's is only $1,000, if that venue interests you....

Is Ariel's going to be available next year? Rumor was they were changng it to a table service restaurant?

That's been a rumor since 2006... And every year it still ends up on the list of reception locations. Last Iheard it was supposed to be taken off the list as of September 2009, but then it's been that way every year.:confused3

I like Ariels as well as $1000 would be so much easier to get to. I think I will just have a play around with figures and see what we can come up with :)

Could you use somewhere like Cinderella's Royal Table as long as you weren't in wedding attire?

CRT is extremely hard to get ADR's for so I would be a very risky bet.

The Key West Room at GF is only $500 min spend.

Hi :goodvibes Just this past Saturday I booked C.R.T for Pete and mines Escape wedding. We wanted so much to have it there because we really wanted to have a fairy tale theme to our wedding day. It was pretty stressful though waiting till 90 days before to book such an important meal. If you read my PJ I've written about booking it (the booking of it was also stressful!)
