Hey there!
My family and I love love love ohana and I was just wondering. We are having a escape wedding in December 2014 soooo no reception but I was just wondering, can I do a dinner at Ohana?
Am I allowed to be there in my wedding dress?

Thanks!!!!

Yup! The only place you can't go in a wedding dress is inside a theme park. Congratulations! :goodvibes

Yes, you can wear your dress. This is my plan so far: Ohana for dinner, and after we are all getting dole whips and going to the beach to watch wishes.

That's an AWESOME idea!

We were in ohana's Saturday night and there was a wedding party at the table next to us. She was in her dress. He was in a Hawaiian shirt and khakis.

Such a good idea! I went to Ohana for the first time ever last month and had such a great time!

We are planning on 1900 Park Fare for our dinner, so we are in a similar boat. Good to hear we won't be alone in going to restaurants after!

For larger groups (20 of us), we will need to call the restaurant directly, correct?

You can make large group reservations through the regular dining hotline now, but you'd want to call the restaurant directly for any special requests. The dining line will tell you that the restaurant can't guarantee you will all sit together and that it's best to reserve either the opening or closing slot. But usually it works out OK.

My date is probably going to be during Free Dining, so I will need to figure that out. My wedding is at 2:30 at the WP. Its an escape so the cake cutting will be at GF. What time should I make the reservation for? We need to be on the earlier side, as my dad has gastric issues and can't eat too late.

Well, the earliest you can make a dinner reservation at Ohana is 5:30. Sometimes people hang out in the lounge there beforehand, or you could go to the one at the GF. It can be tricky to make a regular dining reservation with a 2:30 ceremony because by the time you're done (3:30) lunch is over and dinner hasn't started yet.

We are in this boat as well but we're eating at Citricos. I'm planning on opening a tab of some kind at one of the bars inside GF to keep my guests occupied while we're having photos taken after the cake cutting, but lets face it most of them will probably follow us around hehe
