I just found out my daughter is coming back an extra two days late from camp in Alberta. My date is August 9, 2010 booked for Escape wedding with deposit down and contract signed.

My world is a crumbling.. (insert mega drama pose here). Now we are coming to Disney a week later. ACK!

Got emails into wedding planner and wedding man who booked our event. However, today is american holiday so major panic setting in.

If one of our three locations is free, will they change me an extra deposit?? Help help help? :(

unfortunately i dont know any of this for sure, and someone will call you or contact you first thing tomorrow i am positive, but SOMETHING somewhere MUST be available and it does seem on people's PJs that they change their minds all the time! so while i would kind of freak too, i am SURE something will work out! I don't think you would have to make a deposit again (and i am having a wishes wedding so its dfferent) but there just could be weird availibilty ro size limits on location or something. it will work out!!!!

good luck! :)

There are a whole 4 of us - my daughter and the two of us. I gave them 2 possible dates and 2 possible locations.

I think I am officially having a "pee pee cow" attack :rotfl:

If anyone does know I would appreciate it. I don't want to have threw away $750 - and Joe (who arranged it with me!)'s out of office said he was away tomorrow for jury duty too! So I CCd his assistant :D

aaaaaaaaaa.
crap!

I'm almost positive you can change your date with no financial repercussions up to 30 days out. I spoke to them a while back about this as my fiance is waiting to hear back on his date for Military Basic Training (which we now know is after the wedding!)...I am SURE I remember the 30 day rule for changes to the date...

Also there has GOT to be a place available...think positively...Disney does on average around 1100 weddings year which is on average 3 per day - split between many locations....oh yeah you're fine :) You may have to be a bit flexible but I think you can pull it off!

I believe that if you change your date within the fiscal year for DFTWs then there's no penalty. I'm sure they can change your date by a week with no problem.

Well!

I went into panic weird bride mode there for nothing.

Changed the date. Got the location I originally wanted that was booked (WHOOP! No more sweaty Sunset Point! I got Sea Breeze Point!) AND I can still do my magic kingdom photo shoot the day of the wedding like I had planned!

Thanks for all the support in talking me down though! Whoo! AND I didn't have to pay an extra deposit!!

:woohoo:
