Escape Wedding Hair

If you can afford it I would suggest having it done unless you are very used to doing your own hair. I don't know if that is something I could do... I think I would be a nervous wreck praying that it turns out ok.

I am using Anna from makeover majic.

I am having someone else do my hair and makeup. I figured I do my own every single day and I want to look special on my wedding day. princess: It really isn't all that expensive either. Ana from Beaute Speciale will be coming around 6:00 am to work her magic, which is very early, but I figure she's doing the important stuff...it's okay if I look like a wreck when she comes because she'll fix it. I wouldn't even know where to begin doing it myself for such a big occasion. :confused3 Her website is http://beautespeciale.com/ From what I've read on here both of the An(n)a's are fantastic, Beaute Speciale just wound up being a little cheaper for me.

I did my own.

It was very hot and very humid and I don't like lots of "product" in my hair and I don't wear lots of make-up (which was probably going to slide off anyway in that humidity).

My wedding was VERY casual (I wore a simple gauze dress and DH wore dockers and a linen shirt)...and I decided I wanted to look like I normally do for my pictures. I didn't want some fancy 'do or way more make-up than I usually wear...it wouldn't be "ME".

Hiwaygal and I had similar "looks" (i.e., both our weddings were fairly casual) but we went about it differently. Since my dress was pretty laidback, I wanted someone to do my hair and makeup so I would feel that at least in some respect, I was getting the special treatment. Well, that and I never wear makeup so had no idea how to apply it so it would look good in pictures.

It really is up to you: how comfortable you are doing your own hair/makeup, whether it's in the budget, and whether you want extra jazz on your wedding day (like hiway gal said, it WILL be Florida, and depending on the time of year, it is GUARANTEED to be very hot and humid!).

GL!

I had my hair put up at the Yacht & Beach Club, but my sister did my makeup. We'd practised back at home, and had gone for some trial in the department stores. I was really pleased with it and felt comfortable. I had my hair put up as I worried it would get frizzy in the heat!
