Escape Wedding Dinner

Hi Ladies! I know with the Escape weddings all that is included is the cake and champagne reception and then if you want a dinner you need to arrange that on your own. We are hoping to have our dinner at OHana's but was wondering if we would be allowed to put any favors or minor decorations on the tables? Have any Escape brides arranged something like this in the past? I'm not thinking big elaborate centerpieces... maybe just a few rose petals and a small favor box at each seat. Even though we want a simple and casual reception... I still want something that sets our table apart and makes it feel more like a celebration. I would even be willing to pay Disney Floral to set this up if that would make it more agreeable to the restaurant. Thanks!

Hi Adelia! I spoke with DFTW last month and she told me that they would be happy to help us arrange a dinner in a restaurant or a small ballroom on the day of our Escape wedding.

I may take them up on their offer, but my current plan is to have our nice dinner on the evening BEFORE the wedding, and make the arrangements myself.

I'm sure you can work directly with the restaurant manager and Disney Floral to decorate, especially if you can find a restaurant that has a private dining area.

We are having a small ceremony at SOG, and afterwards going to Grand Floridian for breakfast to celebrate (four of us). I'm making arrangements for an "anniversary cake", and I'm going to have Disney Florist deliver a Mickey and Minnie Congratulations to our table (it has autographed photo of Mickey/Minnie, champagne, flutes, etc, in it. I think I'm going to bring a vase, to put my bouquet in the middle of the table for the "arrangement", like Lurkyloo did. I'm sure Disney Florist would help you jazz up your table.
