Escape wedding AP vouchers...

When do they give these to you? Can you get them the day before your wedding? I would like to activate my gf's (i've already got an AP) the day before our wedding, so our first activity of our married lives is NOT waiting in line at Guest Services! thanks!

You get your AP's after you sign your contract, you should have them well in advance of your wedding.

In our case, the vouchers were sent by mail to us several months before the wedding, I think it was close to sending them the deposit. We activated them exactly the day before the wedding, because we wanted to watch wishes that evening

I beleive if an AP rate is available you will be able to book it, but keep in mind depending on what level hotel (value, mod, or deluxe) the AP rate may not be as good as your wedding room block rate. I think the room block discounts are greater then AP rates usually (but correct me if I am mistaken)HTH

You can book with the AP rate even if you don't have your APs yet - you just need to have them at check in. And even then you *should* be able to check in with just the vouchers, not the active APs (sometimes people get hassled about it though).

From what I've seen, AP rates are usually better than the wedding room-block discount, except occasionally at the Deluxe resorts that have convention facilities (which get a 30% discount). At non-convention Deluxes, the wedding discount is only 15%, at Moderates it's less than 15%, and at Values it's less than 10%.
