I have no clue how to organize this, and I was wondering if you guys could offer some advice. I'm trying to figure out how many BM's, MoH, Grooms men (is that what they are called??), etc...
Our guests will be:
1) My mom: I'd like her to have a role
2) My dad
3) My brother
4) Brother's wife
5) My BFF: I'd like her to have a role
6) BFF's husband
7) My BFF's son (will be 2-3 yrs old then)
8) My other BFF: I'd like her to have a role
9) Our mutual friend (guy)
10) DF's mom: Hasn't mentioned it, but I'm guessing he'd like her to have a role
11) DF's brother: He'd like him to to have a role
12) DF's brother's wife
13) DF's niece (will be 2-3 yrs old then)
14) DF's sister
15) DF's BFF: He'd like him to have a role
16) DF's BFF's GF
So, I was thinking:
-I'd ask my mom to be my MoH (do people typically do that?)
-My 2 BFF's could be my BMs (having only two is fine, right?)
-My DF would like to include his BFF & his brother-they could balance off my side by being groomsmen right? But what about his best man? He doesn't have a dad. I was wondering how strange it would be if his mom served as his "best man"??
I know he would love to include her.
OR, we could simplify (we are all for keeping it simple! & just have:
-my 2 BFF's as my BMs
-his BFF & his brother as his groomsmen and that's it.
That way, we actually have a little audience instead of most of our guests being up there with us!
Dumb question, but I have limited experience with weddings and zero experience with small weddings: Do you actually get to "walk down the aisle" for an escape ceremony? Then my mom would still have a role of walking me in & maybe DF's mom could walk him in.
We thought about having a flower girl, but we decided that it's going to get too expensive and also too "much"-we are trying to keep the ceremony simple and relatively quick!
Thank you in advance!
